in general healthcare represents 5% of your salary
but in my country it's 20% of taxes for a whole package: universal healthcare, education ( all free from pre-kindergarten to Universty. University is free you just have to suceed to the pre- test), pension (which is reversed as 75% of your last salary each month from your 60 to the end of your life!!!) ,unemployement insurance ( if you loose your job, during the period you are seeking for another, 70% of your last earning is paid to you each month) and 5 weeks o paid vacation.= so 20% is not that bad for all this things ! !
and the salarys are pretty decents====> after all taxes I earn 3000 euros ( multiplicate by 1.47 for having it in dollars) but i just finished my studies.
I don’t have to worry about me or my family healthcare, my children’s education nor my pension !
so what can you have there for 20% or your earnings?

This type of idea is exactly what our friends to the North ( Canada ) have and it clearly works for them. Not sure why America is so concerned about. It would be the rare physician that would do that, and I agree (as I practice) that it should not be done. However, no health care is free, we need to put money back into the working populations hands (not inflating the bank accounts of the already wealthy) so they can afford health care. Emergency departments should still accept ill, uninsured people, who, with major re-vamping of the current economic situation, could one day at least have a fighting chance of improving their lot and have their own insurance coverage. But this good old boy network has got to be nipped in the bud. VOTE RON PAUL!
