I literally feel ill when I see a person wearing fur, I find it so utterly disgusting and once when I was a teenager I had this huge row with my friend who was wearing one of those hideous russian fur hats. He of course smothered all my arguements with comments like: "What about the poor chickens, you eat them, don´t you?"
And although I don´t agree that killing animals for meat and killing them for fur can be equated, I realized that the only way I could be completely self-consistent was if I stopped eating meat, which I did. And it turned out being remarkably easy to my surprise and I haven´t eaten meat in 12 years now.
