We Support Hillary Clinton!!!

Not that our opinion matters (any more than yours). Nor do we expect that we will influence your vote in any way, but….
Today is Super Tuesday and we feel it is our duty to publicly endorse Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic candidate that will be the next President of the United States.
As we have previously stated, Hillary wasn't our fist choice. We were initially swayed by the promise of change and the inspiring messages of Barack Obama.
But that's not enough!
After careful consideration and much research, we have come to the informed decision that Hillary is the right candidate for us.
We feel more confident with Hillary's abilities to lead and her proven track record of experience. But, more so than that, HER plans for universal healthcare, education reform and emphasis on equality for all are more aligned with what we want in the next President.
We watched the debates and Clinton just won us over.
Barack is great. But Hillary is the better leader, for us.
However, Obama MUST stay in the picture. This country needs him, just as we need Clinton.
It's been a great and heated campaign thus far, but we sincerely hope when it comes time for the Democratic convention that the Clinton/Obama dream ticket will be a reality!

And they'd have to raise them so much that most of us would have to foreclose on our homes to compensate, among other things. Universal healthcare is a pipe dream and she knows it. It would take a complete overhaul of how our health system, which has been built over decades. It's great to want to emulate other countries' systems but it would take a long time and ALOT of taxpayers money (did I mention ALOT). Folks, you think 20% of your paycheck is alot? HA! And who do you think will foot most of the cost? Us middle Americans. We'd suffer the biggest blow. But all most people see is "universal healthcare - yay! We don't have to pay for insurance anymore". Hello?! Just like we have free school? No, I pay $288 in taxes each month for our wonderful (ha!) public school system. Now if I lived in an apartment and didn't work…nevermind I won't go there.

In order to practice medicine legally in the US you have to attend an accredited university (one of 126 in the US and 17 in Canada). Puerto Rico's medical school is accredited by the US and is the easiest one to get accepted to; med schools in Mexico are NOT accredited and therefore graduates of those schools cannot practice in the US. And I never once referred to the nationality or race of a physician - I was just making a generalization that doctors we'd be required to see under universal healthcare will be those who can't get in to a good med school. Puerto Rico was just an example because It is far easier to get into Puerto Rico's med school than Johns Hopkins or Harvard. I said NOTHING about nationality or race… I spoke about the location of a medical school. Educate yourself, moron.

Also, don't forget people, when it comes to electabilitiy - do you really think that Obama could beat McCain or Romney? McCain and Romney's experience totally overshadow Obama's and putting them next to each other in the gen election in November would show how extreme the experience differences are! Not that that's bad, but it's all relative because of what it costs us and the loans we're required to take out (plus interest). Doctors should not be required to practice at multiple locations. They should be able to practice where and when they want. Clinton's plan wouldn't not allow that. If universal healthcare takes place doctors would be paid similarly to every other government official and it would not even begin to cover the loans taken out for education. Yes, healthcare in this country is expensive but universal healthcare is not the answer. We need to find a way to meet in the middle.
