don't forget about mississippi…the tornados came through here too
This season is always scary for people in the Mid South. Remember last year when that massive tornado hit Gallatin? It actually got international attention. I'm about 10 mins from there, and you can still to this day see evidence of the storm's horrific path of destruction. Some friends of mine lost everything they had worked their whole lives for. That's a horrible feeling. You cannot even imagine.
sucks for them, you should move to california, stop fucking your cousins, and avoid tornados like the rest of us who arent inbred hicks
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy. I know that I am truely blessed to have woken this morning. Keep God first, always, in the bad times and the good. He will guide you on the journey to recovery.
Thank you, Perez, for posting this. Other than Fox News, no other media outlets have even given it a second thought.
It was definitely crazy here yesterday… RIP ^^^ to the ones that didn't make it. Hey #86 AMBER - MOST of the major damage occured at large corporations ( International Paper, Conway, etc.) a college, and a Memphis mall. So, pleeaaseee keep the dam* trailer comments to yourself. Tornados can sweep through and destroy anything in it's path.
I also want to make clear that this is NOT a sign of global warming, as someone posted earlier. As a matter of fact, it's been one of the coldest winters around here in recent memory. Then all of a sudden it was unseasonably warm yesterday. When warm and cool air collide, it makes for catostrophic results. Being in the middle makes TN a perfect breeding ground for this phenomenon. The fact is, tornadic activity as been affecting the Mid South since the beginning of time, just like hurricanes in FL, mudslides in CA, heavy rain in WA, etc. It's just something you have to deal with in this area. It's sad, but it's how we know Spring is coming!
Re: scary –
hey scary, you quit being a dumb bitch! You are the ignorant one, and you get so pissed off becaues i said the south is full of trailer parks? YES, I am fuckin correct when I said that!!!!!!! Everyone knows that the south is full of rednecks, hill billies, single women on foodstamps, trailer parks, confederate honkeys and most are democrat idiots who DRAIN the taxes from the upper class and wealthy! The majority of the south are a bunch of idiots!!!!!
Re: Louisville – It was snowing in conway, AR when I left this morning. like the weather man said "Welcome to Arkansas".
54 deaths confirmed at this point in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, and Arkansas. The first round came through in the early evening, the second in the middle of the night when many people were asleep. Not very fun.
and in Mississippi
Very sad, thanks for occasionally keeping us informed about something OTHER than the trivial goings on in Hollywood
Thanks for sending love to Kentucky Perez. We love you here!
Re: kate –
I agree. Fucking idiots to be sure.
Re: holla –
Nobody gives a shit at a time like this you rude brainless asshole. I hope you die next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All these people who have posted negative comments, should really be ashamed of themselves … I live in Louisville, Kentucky and was stuck in the middle of this storm, and whats worse was I live in an apartment building so it was even harder for us to seek shelter… Sure because the storm didn't affect you, you think it's "CooL" to see all the damage, but that all changes when your huddled up with your neighbors under a staircase with 80mph winds over your head and trying to keep glass from shattering in your face.
To those of you who have sent prayers, Thank you…. Our prayers are with those other states that were hit much harder than us.
Re: perezsisafag –
Rot in hell you brainless piece of shit.
Prayers dont' do shit, why don't you send them some money so they can bury their dead fuckin morons. Jesus never existed, just another form of control.
Re: amber –
Fuck you you brainless whore!!!!!!! You stereotype and like a dumbass, think you have brains! You are a joke! Stop making yourself look more retarded than you already are. Go worship Paris Hilton cunt.
Thanks Perez. Raychel was right, it's right up the road from where the tornadoes were in Gallatin two years ago. We'll make it though. We Tennesseans are stronger than we look. ^^
okay, first off, this area is not in tornado alley….dumbass…….i was in that shit last night…..friends are dead…..families are now homeless…..three towns have been wiped off the map…..if you dont care, thats fine…..but think how you would feel if it was you, and people cared more about heath fucking ledger than this even more tragic loss……these are real fucking people who lost not only all of their material possessions, but their most precious friends and families too……my car got blown away….we have irreperable damage to our home…..were broke and homeless, and sad……people should be more sensitive.
Please don't forget Oxford, MS. My sister is luck enouth to be alive. The Tornado missed her house my inches
I live in Springdale Ar and we watch the reports of the storms as they were happening last night. this is horrible. we get hit quite often with storms like this yet so many people are still unprepared for the impact no matter how "storm proof" they make their homes. our hearts go out to those who lost their lives last night. God bless
thanks perez but the storms hit mississippi too!!
Re: amber – Hey, Amber! Have you ever even been to the South? For you to call someone ignorant, and then make the comments you just made, is unfathomable. Judging from your grammar and poor choice of words, you're probably not very well educated, so I'll try to keep it simple. You cannot label someone just because they are from a specific area of the country. To do so is in itself ignorant, as you put it. The South is rich with culture, art, music, and (believe it or not) education, as are many other parts of our great nation. Wake up, Amber! This is the 21st century! One would think that prejudice stereotypes are a thing of the past. I'm sorry that you're jealous of your husband's ex, and I will pray for you. In the meantime, try doing a little research and maybe learning about a topic before you make a comment. You're only making yourself look like the idiot here.
Re: Derek –
hey Derek the DICK, you stop being a little fag and get off perezhilton, only fags and chicks can come here ok. so who is the real bitch!?!? why dont you bend over and take a picture of your confederate flying white pimpled tennessee ass and show everyone on perezhilton what you really look like. What??? are you afraid to show off your hot pink confederate panties! Why dont you shut the fuck up and go look for your trailer that traveled from TN to Georgia with the tornado. BITCH!

i live in arkansas and am afraid to see how bad the damage is in my town (i was out of town this week) but i want to thank everyone praying for all of us.
****************Hey lizzy t - PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA TODAY. TORNADOES ARE NOT NEW, BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE? WHAT MAKES THEM COME ABOUT? RIIIIIIIGHT, YOU STUPID FUCK!! DENYING THAT THESE NEW DRASTIC CHANGES IN WEATHER (GLOBALY, HEY PEREZ, MENTION CHINA PLEASE) HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING IS LIKE SAYING THAT THE SKY IS FLANNEL-COLORED WITH GREEN POLKA DOTS.
AMERICA, GET AN EDUCATION AND STAND UP! (PS. yes, I've already contributed to the red cross, please help these poor people)
I live in Arkansas & luckily where I was in the Northeast no one was hurt but I'm here in college while my parents are farther down South of me & they got it rough. I know someone who died last night & please everyone keep Arkansas & all states effected by this in your prayers & thoughts. Thank you.
aww perez your so sweet!! we didnt have any damage thank god where i live in lexington ky but i heard there were trees down etc down the street from our house
#39…. Where are people suppose to live, we have earthquakes out west, hurricanes on east coast, tornados in midwest… is there an area not effected? Some people need to be less clueless.
PRES Canidates…. you think they would want a photo op, and to show they care about people, then why not show up at a damaged area.. oh wait.. that stated didnt have enough votes for them to waste their time….
Truly sad
I am in Indiana, I was born and raised in Los Angeles. It doesnt matter where you live, I have found that natural disasters occur everywhere, its just a matter of time.
Thank you for posting this Perez-we live about 10 miles from the mall that was damaged and spent the majority of my evening huddled with hysterical children in our tiny bathroom. It was a scary night but by the grace of God we were spared.
thats what happens when you vote for Huckabee….. haha
WOW! I can't believe i just sat here and read most of these ignorant comments for the last 30 minutes. Why are people from the south rednecks, hicks, idiots? That really is what's wrong with the world today. There are still sooooo many uneducated people it's scary! I live in Portland Tn and the weather missed us thankfully. My thoughts go out to the people who were affected!
It's quite funny that most people stereotype Kentucky and other southern states as hickstates, where most of us live in trailor parks with no teeth, 5 kids and no baby daddy….It's so not the case.
Karma is a fateful word, and to those of you have put your negativity out there about this, will get a taste of your own medicine soon enough whether it be something tragically with the weather, or something tragic within your own town…or family.
I think it was a good thing for Perez to Post something about what happend last night, because although his celebrity gossip is always juicy to read, It's also good to educate those on what's going on in their country, and how others are effected by it.
Most of you need to grow up. Because one day, it will be you stuck in our situation, it will be YOU needing the help, and those of us that you have turned your back on will turn our backs on you.
Wow…. is all I have to say. I've never seen so many idiotic comments in my life. I guess living in Indiana "the NEW south" is a horrible place to be. I'd rather live in and around this area than anywhere else. But, my heart truely goes out to all those who were involved in the storms last night. =( I just looked at some of the pictures and they are horrific. Mother Nature is not very forgiving.
Mississippi was hit as well…Oxford, MS was hit really hard.
thats because they didnt go vote
Thanks Perez! For some one who reports all the celeb gossip it's wonderful that you take time to realize what happened down here.
Re: sara p – Ditto. I saw your other equally jackassed remarks on other comments. Your opinion, if that's what you think it is, or you're trying to be clever, is not making anything any better, so if you can't commet intelligently or nicely, just pass it by and be quiet.
Thank you for thinking of us!
Thank you for thinking of us!
Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers, I live in Brentwood, TN and thought I was going to see Toto flying by my home at any moment, it is a sad day here to know that lifes were lost.
Re: scary – With that stupid remark you'd think you were the one whose the hillbilly. As if anyone needs to read this on a thread about people dying in a horrible storm. You are the idiot.
Last night was scary as hell wondering if I was going to survive or not with nothing that I could do about it. The tornado went right through my town. So Sad! Keep us in your thoughts.
Re: Stars – This post was meant for 'scary'. Not you Sara. Sorry.
Re: Stars – This post was meant for 'scary'. Not you Sara. Sorry.
it is a tragedy dont be a dick about it.
I would just like to say that it would be much appreciated if sometimes Mississippi could get acknowledged when things happen like this to so many people. North Mississippi was destroyed last night by this and all you say is four other states. Same thing happend with Katrina. Wake up and realize that there are people here to that are detroyed by the catastropic incident! My heart goes out to the people that lost their homes and most importantly their lives!! Valerie from Hattiesburg Mississippi
im in kentucky and it was pretty bad last night….my prayers are with everyone affected by the storms
Re: amber –
Amber, you can't even spell correctly……why even open up your tragic mouth? Are you kidding….this horrible situation has called for you to bring up some of your moronic ideas of what your opinion of the south is to you? You really should spend your energy talking about something that you are educated on. That's okay if you are so small minded to think that we all are like the ideals that you think southern women personify. Besides, I was born and raised in the South, and proudly……there is no other place I would want to live. Why even bring up politics with all the rest of your ignorant blabber? You must be a very classy Republican person, huh? You seem pretty trashy and redneck yourself. Let me guess, you live in the North too! You sound like what we call in the South…."trash with cash". How's that for me judging you like you do everyone else?!!!!!! Your words sound so intelligent.
Come on, give us more. Make more of an ass of yourself!!!!!!!!!!
You 2 are obviously from California! Because you have shit for brains! I bet you are proud to have a reputation of being freaks and are proud to be from the GAY state. I will definitely pray for your incompetent idiots!
Re: Stars – Umm, I was in that storm last night! I don't see how what I said would make me look like a hillbilly but oh well. She's the one sterotyping, not me. Carry on…….
It was brutal last night… Hopefully this is the end of the stormy weather for a while. Thanks to everyone for the prayers.
northern mississippi had one tornado touch down as well
I live in kentucky where seven people died last night, and for anyone who thinks otherwise, kentucky is NOT apart of tornano alley. believe me, tornaoes are not "common" here. ignorant people. and besides anywhere you live you are subject to natural disasters.
Re: RaYcheL –
I agree 100% with everything you just wrote.
Re: Jenn – 24 hours ago it was still sunny here jackass.
Many loving prayers for those who have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, churches, and property.
I go to school at University of Tennessee-Martin, about 50 miles north of Jackson. We had to spend part of the night in the dorm basements; but it wasn't very bad here so I'm very thankful. But I can't go home to Memphis because I have to go on the 45 bypass, right past Union Universtiy and where the tornado hit. Everyone in that area and others are in my thoughts!
At least it wasn't any important states
Re: Kim – Actually, Obama did mention the storms in his speech to supporters last night, "Before I begin, I just want to send my condolences to the victims of the storms that hit Tennessee and Arkansas today. They are in our thoughts and in our prayers, and we hope that our federal government will respond quickly and rapidly to make sure that they get all the help that they need. " as did Clinton, " on just one really serious note, we want to keep the people of Arkansas and Tennessee in our prayers. They suffered horrible tornadoes tonight. We just talked to some of our folks there and people have died in both states, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them in this moment of their need."
Perez, Mississippi was hit too! In my town right outside of Memphis, TN.
Re: amber –
You're so ignorant
Thank you for remembering us. We need all the good thoughts and prayers we can get.
"sucks for them, you should move to california, stop fucking your cousins, and avoid tornados like the rest of us who arent inbred hicks"
wow that was a disgusting comment. i cant believe that people can say that about their own country. moving won't help anything, do fires ring a bell to you??? wherever you go there will be natural disasters and there is nothing anyone can do about it. i live in memphis and it was an extremely scary night for me. i was watching the news and it was showing tornados all over the place and i was wondering if my city would be there in the morning. i dont know how old you are (person who is incompetent), but i am 16 and am mature enough to know that a region cannot be catagorized. you are the one that sounds like disgusting pig. i have never met someone who has sex with their cousin so stop being an idiot.
my heart goes out to anyone who lost a loved one or their home!
I live in Middle TN and fell asleep around 10pm., only because I had worried about the storms all day and all night until then. Apparently, our city tornado alarms went off around midnight, when I was asleep. Tornadoes are so dangerous and I hope you'll keep us in your prayers.
I live in Memphis and it hit here very bad i live like 10 minutes away from da mall where it was hit pretty bad and the tornado past like 100 ft fron my house thankfully nothing happened to my family!
i live in memphis and spent the nite in the bathroom so i knw how everyone feels today..but why are u freakn idiots talking bout political shit ?perez posted this to say prayers for the families affected and ppl r talking bout heath ledger and the fuckin election again ?im so confused…and i love the person the somehow connected bush and the tornadoes..lovely..get off the mans back already..shit.. and the rere tht posted why do ppl live where they hv tornadoes?ur a fuckin moron..hv u heard of natural disasters? u suck at life for real..god bless the south
oh my god. I live in NASHVILLE and it was SO scary.
we didnt even have it that bad!
but yeah everyone was falling asleep in class today.
Thanks Perez. Your Kentucky fans, appreciate your prayers.
A lot of damage and injuries occurred where I am in Mississipp, also. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!
I'm in north AL. We suffered no damage here, but one county over was not so lucky. Please send good thoughts and prayers their way.
wow how shitty is it for someone to be so stupid as to be proud of being "first" on this posting rather than having something genuine to say. I live in central arkansas and thankfully *knock on wood* nothing has ever really affected my area. However, I also work at a hotel and its absolutely horrible seeing these people come in with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and many family members still missing, yet they are not allowed to go home or just can't. No matter what religion or whatever you are keep these people in your thoughts and/or prayers.
Thank you PH from Little Rock, AR
Re: amber – your statement shows that no matter where you are, you STILL haven't received a good education. trailer parks?! there aren't that many here in the south…..more trailer parks in areas outside of industrial areas like detroit (think 8 Mile)……you and people like you need to get over stereotypes you see on movies.
Re: srhackel –
why are we making a point to that this state got it worse than this one, that might be a matter of opinon and the fact is that everyone should be thinking about these people equally its not a competition
That's what they get for voting Huckabee. Idiotards.
North Mississippi also got hit bad too
Thank you, Perez.
my aunt and her husband were among the fatalities in KY…..
Re: lizzy t –
Holy crap me too It was more like 15-10 minutes, there were tornadoes in Morrilton. This was really really bad, most of the highways were shut down with people just pareked on them so that people couldn't even get to their homes. This seems to happen about every 10 years or so, last time i believe it was in 96 there were 6+ tornadoes in Arkansas during JANURARY - I believe in global warming like the next person but I also believe that nature goes in cycles. The reason most of these things weren't reported 100-200 years ago is because 100-200 years ago much of this area was still farm land and we didn't realize the impact of the situation and also that the government and weather liked to pretend tornadoes/twisters didn't exist (don't believe me look it up)
thanks to perez for supporting everyone here in TN! its been pretty rough
thankss… i live in kentucky
NO WONDER THE WORLD IS IN THE SHAPE IT IS IN RIGHT NOW… LOOK AT THE WAY ALL YOU PEOPLE TALK TO EACH OTHER!! PEOPLE ARE DEAD! THEY HAVE LOST HOMES, CARS, EVERYTHING… DOESN'T MATTER WHERE THEY LIVE OR THE LIFESTYLE THEY LIVE- WE ARE ALL HUMANS AND THIS JUST AS EASILY COULD HAVE BEEN ANY OF US… I LIVE IN ARKANSAS BUT WE WEREN'T AFFECTED- STORM SIRENS WENT OFF BUT NOTHING LIKE ATKINS AND CLINTON AND THE SMALLER COMMUNITIES THAT WERE HIT. 13 PEOPLE, AS OF RIGHT NOW, ARE DEAD IN ARKANSAS ALONE FROM THIS STORM. THAT IS REAL AND IT IS SAD… WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO BE SO UGLY TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT?? JUST BECAUSE WE LIVE IN ARKANSAS OR THE SOUTH OR WHATEVER- DOESNT MEAN WE ARE INBRED OR HICKS OR WHATEVER YOU MAY SAY OR THINK! THE NEWS WERE REPORTING LAST NIGHT THAT ALMOST AS SOON AS THE STORMS WERE OUT OF A PARTICULAR AREA PEOPLE WERE COMING OUT IN FULL FORCE TO HELP IN ANY WAY THEY COULD… GUARANTEE THAT WOULDN'T BE HAPPENING IN THE NORTH OR OTHER PLACES LIKE THAT. I AM PROUD TO LIVE IN THE SOUTH AND THE FRIENDLINESS AND CARING PEOPLE THAT ARE HERE MAKE IT EVEN BETTER!
Re: david – YOU SHOULD GO TO CHURCH SOMETIME
i was there!!!
Oh waaaaay, cry me a river to all u touchy southerners, and while you're at it, fart me a tornado. I'm from the Bay you punk rock beezies, 415 to be exact. Where I live, people are interesting, creative, and dont treat others who are different like shit because "we dont understand them". Fuck all u small town hicks, Cali til I D.I.E.
i just had explosive diarreah (like u know how to spell it), and it reminded me so much of those shit hole towns u guys keep describing that got hit. But i'm pretty sure my shit still smells better than those shit holes.
Finally "God" punishes trailer trash for years of sinning in his name- rednecks don't deserve to live
See Paris isn't just all about the celebrities. He cares about "normal" people too. Thanks Paris for being such a wonderful person. You're the bomb diggity. Our thoughts & prayers are going out to them too.
p.s. you should have won Celebrity Rap Superstar
One of my little cousins was killed last night in the tornadoes. May she rest in peace and I pray for all of the other families who lost someone or has someone hurt.
PEREZZZZ
you forgot mississippi????
thanks a lot.
I live five miles away from an area where four people were killed.
It saddens me that some of these comments are so mean. People have lost their lives. Families have lost their homes. When Malibu was burning were comments as mean???
Please just respect the families that have been affected by this. My family was lucky enough to have our home untouched. Please remember these families and just imagine if your home were torn away by a tornado.
I live in Ky, and it was terrifying*. I think that was the first time i'd ever actually seen a tornado and i hope to never see one agian
Thanks for mentioning this. I have lived in kentucky all my life and i have never seen a tornadoe hit our county. There's a lot of damage and a few have passed. so we really do need prayers.
yaaaa, i live in arkansas, but my city wasn't hit with a tornado, only a lil bit of strong winds/lighting/etc. *clapping* Yay me!
Prayers won't help you now. Where was your god before the tornadoes struck? You're all a bunch of retards. It sucks to be the object of hatred and god's wrath, doesn't it. Now all you red-state assholes are getting it back for all the hate you've spread against gays. Maybe now you'll think twice about who you vote for and the evil words of your religious leaders.
Thanks on behalf of all the Memphians who were affected
Re: sara p –
are you actually this ignorant sara? honestly you have no idea what you are talking about. mother nature can take lives anywhere at any given time, not only in the south. I can not stop laughing at your stupidity, and where do you live that makes you so "holy" that tragedies like this don't happen? dumb bitch
