Washed up actor Corey Haim, he of 80s movies fame, has placed a full-page ad in Variety magazine in an attempt to revive his non-existent career.

I think he would be great for a sit-com. I always enjoyed he stuff when I was a kid. People make mistakes?
Hey as long as he's staying off the drugs who cares, at least he's trying. The problem however is that his personality is pretty tough to stomache. It's surprising he's not more pleasant after all he's been through but I think it's partly a protection mechanism. Anyway I hope he can catch a break and somehow soften his personality in the process.
This guy was in some the greatest, iconic 80's movies ever made….I would love to see him make a comeback. I believe in second chances…..I think if he was clean and truely wanted to put in the effort, he could make it. Thats one thing everyone loves: a great comeback story!!!

I love Corey! He has a lot of great movies on his resume! He totally deserves a second chance. He hasn't done anything that so many entertainers are partaking in right now. However, it seems okay for them, we still want the best for them and beg for more from them. So why shouldn't Corey get a second chance? Come on quit being so ignorant!!!!

It's so amazing how easy it is for all the anonymous commenators to say he's a loser… excuse me, but he had a huge career and has had huge accomplishments that not too many people can say they've had. It's so easy for the guy sitting behind the computer to shout out "Loser!". How our society can idolize someone when they are famous, and then crucify them when times change and new faces appear, is so incredibly shameful. We are looking at these people as if they are disposable. So hypocritical, when mostly everyone in America would die to be famous. And if you don't know who Corey Haim is, you're obviously a 13 year old ignorant little brat.

Leave him alone - he has more talent than most of the so-called "actors" nowadays. To be a good child actor takes talent and Corey had it. He still has it as far as I'm concerned. Perez is just jealous. Corey looks horrible lately but is still 1000 times better than Perez.

it really shows he has recovered. i hope there are more compassionate, thoughtful and wise people in hollywood than perez and give opportunity to people like cory instead of losers like lindsey.

Neither of them have careers because they can't act worth a shit. It would be like a one hit wonder from the 90's like Right Said Fred ("I'm too sexy" in case you can't remember) still today trying to get his music career back…Its wasn't very good, but we had some laughs, now its over.

I admire that he's still giving it a fighting chance, he's not going away, he is really trying. He's not disappearing like other 80s stars who gave up the fight, the man wants to come back to entertain us, what's the harm in that? Corey was unfortunately swept up in the Hollywood lifestyle before it somehow became OK to be a coke head, and for some reason with Corey, people just can't get past the drugs. We all so easy forget Rob Lowe was making sex tapes before Paris Hilton was born, Charlie Sheen loved his hookers and coke and even now Lindsay Lohan is probably back doing lines tonight and drinking vodka in a booth at Arena.
If he wants to come back, let him have a shot, he entertained millions of people with Lost Boys, License To Drive, Silver Bullet, Lucas. I remember his posters hanging on teenaged girls walls from the pages of Tiger Beat in the 80's.

I admit, I was a big fan of the 2 Corey's back in the '80s like many were but I have to disagree with a few folks' comments here about second-chances. Sure Robert Downey Junior for example, got plenty of second chances BUT…he's a brilliant actor. Another child actor - except he didn't have the dramz that Corey H had was Leonardo DiCaprio but again, Leo, like him or hate him, is a very good actor, one of the few of his age of that calibre.
And as much as I DO want to see Corey make a comeback and do well, sadly, he wasn't known for strong acting abilities back in the day - he was the cutie pie of the minute - a "hearthrob", he was in fluff movies (altho Lost Boys was awesome, that was a stand out pic but again, his acting wasn't astounding).

He could reinvent himself in some fun comedies - maybe parody himself a little the way Neil Patrick Harris did in a cameo in Harold & Kumar or perhaps do a few black comedies; that way we don't mind laughing at him and he doesn't have to be the finest actor. I hope he makes good choices and doesn't just jump at the first paycheck.
i'm personally hoping he steers away from horrors bc unless it's an excellent script, it's bound to blow up in his face and the movie will be cheesy and preconceptions will be formed by people before they've seen it if a d grade has-been actor is in a horror. you just see too many of those (eg. Jay (Jason) Mewes in that awful horror (I think it was Feast). & i hope he doesn't pair up with Corey F yet. Establish himself first. unless it's a good script they are both going to suck and so is the movie and it'll be over before it begun. start slow and work up slowly.
