All I wanted to see was Amy and Tina. Amy was great…love her Tina phenom, but Beyonce as usually sucked - she is like Tyra a drag queen and she sure can not keep up with the Queen Bee Ms Tina Turned.

Carrie Underwood sounds better than Rhianna. Rhianna's voice is terrible and so overeditted. She also doesn't connect at all with anything she sings. Her fake accent makes me laugh. I think she was the worst of the night. Way overrated.
Ok… so Beyonce and Tina Turner were AMAZING! Amy Winehouse… love her, but she still looked a bit strange. But you TOTALLY forgot Alicia Keys & John Mayer which was one of the best performances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. Kanye really really touched me with his performance… and then he had to start talking, which brought out the cockiness, which made me not like him too much anymore. why did he have to do that?!?!

You forgot to put Herbie's performance. His Rhapsody in Blue was the real highlight of the evening. Winehouse was outstanding, too (but you didn't forget that one).
Alicia Keys sounds like a watered down, souless version of Christina Aguilera. I think she is so overrated and damn near sucks. Not as much as Rhianna, but she's not all that great. Mediocre, I would say.

The music started playing BEFORE he started talking about his mother. They wasn't trying to play over him talking about his mother, he made it appear that way. The band waits a certain amount of time and they get their cue no matter who is giving a speech. I love Amy's music and I hate to say it but, that performance really sucked. I am really disappointed, I guess I thought her bad performances before where because she was too drunk or high. But even perfectly sober that was a silly and unprofessional performance and her singing was just plain awkward and mismatched with no appropriate blending. I'm dissapointed I spent 5 minutes watching it.

I am not a huge kanye fan, but he lost his mother and people are criticizing him for caring about that. If anything should be said, it should be good things because it shows that he has a soul.
As for Amy Winehouse, she looked amazing. She sounded great, and i personally think she deserved every award she received. Anyone out there can say that she doesnt deserve it because of her drug and alcohol issues, but she is getting treatment and is an incredible talent.
