Is Britney finally getting better????
All signs point to a YES!!!!
Spears, whom we hope is still receiving treatment for her mental illness, was spotted with her mother, Lynne, in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The pair bonded over clothes, shopping at the Miss Sixty store on Melrose before heading over to the Millennium Dance Studios in the Valley.
And, Brit Brit and mom were accompanied by their new bodyguards.
All good things!
Treatment is essential, though. They can't ignore that.

So, shopping with bodyguards means you're getting "better"? I don't believe Britney has any sort of real mental illness anyway. I believe she's a person who cannot handle her life, and because she's never had any idea about/respect for authority, can't allow anyone to help. Get it through your heads, guys, she will never be the Britney you knew and loved again, she isn't famous anymore. Just let it go.
The right meds, at the right dosage, liquor and drugs restricted, and the love and care of parents — it's a recipe for normality, recovery and peace.

As someone who deals with depression, I can tell you first hand that NO ONE recovers (as much as we would all like them/us to) from any mental illness, especially from being bi-polar, in a matter of a week or two. It take a long, long time to get better. Everyone has to understand that Brit is being taken out probably for three reasons — first, it probably makes her feel better, second, she is probably like a caged animal at home and her parents can't stand her beating at the door to get out so a supervised outing is better than none, and third, the more they (her parents) keep her in the public eye, the less we will forget about her — just in case — she wants to record a successful album again, go on tour, etc… They are protecting their lifelong 'investment'. We all hope she gets better but she still isn't right. She does not dress like an adult woman, nor does she behave like one. Give her all time and stay away from her. To Brit: Please put on a bra. You are not 16 anymore. We all hope you get better.

Thank God her parents have come to help her through her illness and in time I hope she can have a successful comeback and show all the bastards that mistreated her what a strong girl she is.
The only way to know if the treatment is really working is to listen for that stupid British accent that her other personality is using. If she's talking normally then she's taking her meds and all is working. If we see a paparazzi video on perezhilton.com in a few months time and she's jibber jabbering with a British accent again then the conclusion should be obvious.

You can tell that all she ever really wanted was for someone to care. Even if she acted like a "shit" that hated her parents……she wanted them to step in and take over. I really do think that she was so deprived of feeling any love or care from her family that she was seriously crying out for help in the end. Her dad really did do the right thing for her by stepping in and taking over. I agree with someone else on here who said that they didn't believe so much that she is mentally ill, as it is that she has been partying (doing drugs) and now she won't have access to that anymore, at least not right now with her parents keeping such close tabs on her. She just couldn't get rid of all of the influences that she was keeping around cuz that was all she had. I have noticed that the media (pap) coverage of her has even died down now that she is under her parents care. She really did need some type of intervention for so many different reasons. She is so much more protected now. I don't think that her parents would step in before now cuz I think that they really did have to wait until it was painfully CLEAR that Brit couldn't do it on her own. Believe me…… I am sure they know their own daughter and how stubborn she can be. Sometimes life is just that hard for certain people. Everyone deals with hurt and sorrow differently. I know that it took me years to learn how to cope with derpression and my emotions so that I didn't totally fall apart when I was going thru it. I used to feel like I wasn't going to make it out of dark times in my life and it was just because I was never taught how to manage my feelings. It seems that Brit is the same way. She'll learn even if it takes her going thru some really rough times, she'll figure it out. Hopefullly next time she has hurtful or sorrowful issues to deal with in the future she will figure out how to keep herself from letting all of her feelings totally take over and get the best of her. You can tell that she really beats herself up about stuff. Once she gets past that she will "Manage" and cope better, therefore she will be able to keep herself from totally going into meltdowns. I think she is finally going to be ok now.
She's already looking healthier…and cleaner. Now momma Spears just needs to get something done with brit brit's hair. All jokes aside, she does look better.

Maybe…she very well could be beginning to make those necessary steps on the road to recovery…or, she could be trying to make everyone think that since the conservatorship is due to expire shortly. Personally, I think her dad and Mr. Wallet should continue the roles of conservatorship indefinitely.It's going to be a long while before she is ready to function on her own again without relapsing into the mess she's become.
