"Keith Urban Gave Me His Guitar!"

Perezcious reader Marissa got a very special gift from Keith Urban at his concert last night.
This is what she has to tell us about the experience:
"Just wanted to send my Valentine's wishes and to share a funny story with you. Last night my friend Todd took me to the Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban concert at MSG in NYC. I was sporting a cowgirl shirt from my friend, Meg (a big Perez fan). It was my first country concert and will now surely NOT be my last. Carrie was stunning and amazing, but when Keith came out…damn. Quite the dreamboat 
)
While playing his song "You look good in my shirt" Keith came into the crowd and into my row. I was so excited!!! And then as I was taking pictures he whipped off his guitar, signed it and handed it to me!

I WAS THERE TOO!!! THe concert was the best!! You're soooo lucky! I was about 15 rows away from you and I couldnt believe he came out into the audience!
I was at the show too! Keith defiitely rocked. He is badass and an awesome musician. From what I saw though, he gave the guitar to her friend (Todd) and she musta whined and complained so much that her friend passed the guitar off to her.
WOW some of you are so bitter you can't even wish a regular (non celebrity) person well. Who cares if it's an Epiphone or a Strat or a Les Paul . . . she was a the concert, and she got to take a signed guitar home. I doubt she plans on playing it, it was just a nice thing for a musician to do.
Hate to tell the kiddie this, but he gave a guitar away at his show in CT. It wasn't because this person is particularly special, it's all part of the show

I want to set the record straight that the screen at the concert might have looked like he gave me the guitar and its true he actually did, but you know how girls are. If I wouldn't have given her the guitar, forget about it, she would have guilt tripped me forever. I know what you are saying, but Todd you have gone to country concerts for years, how could you give up the guitar to a person that did not even like country? The answer is: I would rather pay $10K for this guitar than listen to this girl complain everyday and we now have another country music fan in the Tri-State area!

Congratulations Marissa! I would have probably fainted, Keith is dreamy (and that's an understatement.) He's amazing in concert. He's incredibly hard rock sounding when he plays live. He's an accomplished guitarist and basically just one HOT man.

I just went to this same concert in Rochester, NY on Feb 2nd. He did this same exact thing and gave the guitar to a little boy, no more than 4, who held a sign that said "I want to be just like you." He just seems like a genuinely nice man who feels incredibly blessed and lucky to be doing what he does. Not mention the concert was absolutely amazing. Good luck with the baby!

That's amazing…he really does like to get off stage! I was at the Missouri State Fair two years ago and we were in the front row, he jumped off stage, grabbed MY hand and pulled himself up on the guard rail and straddled me while playing the song "you look good in my shirt." The crappy thing though was he went to have me sing the song and at that point I didn't know it so all I said was la…la…la…it was horrifying on the jumbo screen! Keith if you read Perez…like you should….I am really really sorry, but I know the song now!!!!!

I went to his concert last night in Hershey Park, PA and he did the same thing, with the exact same type of guitar but he gave it to some guy. It was my first time seeing him in concert and he does put on an awesome show! I initially went just to see Carrie but Keith Urban's got himself a new fan. And damn is he gorgeous!!! I always thought he looked funny in pictures but to see him up close…whew! Nicole Kidman is a lucky girl!

Planned as planned can be. That is a $150 epiphone les paul special and its a true beginner guitar. Kind of like other bands who smash their guitars and throw to audience. They switch them out before hand to the cheap-o model. He does this all the time. Hands off a cheap beginner out of tune guitar to an audience member to make it look like he gave away one of "his" guitars. Just a showman is all.

There was nothing spontaneous going on at country concerts — I know the crew manager at MSG, who showed me the set list and chart with a circle around the seat. He put his spoiled niece "Marissa" (not her real name) in the seat (she was suppose to act like she didnt know) and Keith was going there, no matter who was there. So - this wasnt "lucky" - "Marissa" knew it was coming - her Uncle promised it. And, she doesnt even like Keith Urban. You were all ripped off, country loving morons!

His other giveaways are random and you were lucky enough to be backstage because you knew the crew manager. Others have to submit a request and hope to win a pass to get backstage. Wouldn't you also say that YOU are spoiled? I think so!
