Tragedy On Campus
A gunman opened fire at Northern Illinois University on Thursday, killing five people before taking his own life.
This shit makes us so angry!!!!
Why does it seem that kind of stuff happens so much in America but not other parts of the world????
That kind of violence just makes no sense.
Our thoughts with everyone affected by this tragedy.

Poor America. I feel sympathy for all of you people from the U.S. It would suck to live in a country where every month you guys have a school shooting. This stuff rarely happens in Canada. Here's a thought, MAYBE ITS BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE GUNS IN EVERY SINGLE HOUSE. Ya its pretty pathetic that some of you American's triple lock your doors and sleep with guns under your pillows. In Canada, sometimes we don't even lock our doors and people have guns only for hunting, not shooting other people. And guess what!?! We all survive without all the guns and triple locks. America in my opinion is one country I would NEVER raise a family…
I just red Meghan's post and I SOOOOOOO agree with her. Couldn't have said it better!
Re: Jessica – Is that any worse than sending 18 year olds to fight in Iraq to support a lifestyle you refuse to give up? Think very carefully before you reply. Think deep and hard about your computer, electronics, jewels, gas consumption and the cost in human lives that results.
If any of you bitching about America and it's gun laws leading to murder own diamonds go hang yourself cause you're a hyproctirical shit. Slavery does still exist, you choose to ignore it so you can get your comforts. Own a diamond? Fuck off, you have no clue how many people have suffered and died so you can have a little hunk of stone. Consumers are the real killers. Oppose the war in Iraq? Then change your lifestyle and wash your hands of anything that is the spoils of war. That means, no gas, no car, no computer, no sweatshop produced clothing, ect.
Re: me –
Education!!! All homes in Switzerland have guns however they have better education system and not such a gap between the rich and poor.
Re: why are there so many morons on this site? – you mean that there's difference between shooting people "just for the hell of it" and "cutting them in half with machetes"? they don't end up dead in both cases?
Re: Darina – lady im getting tired of talking to ya, i dont need to come outside the U.S.A. thats what we have marines for to protect your dumbasses. and can your husband speak for himself, or does he always hide behind you. sounds like we dont need him anyway. go home if its so good, if not shut the hell up.
I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE MEDIA TO GIVE AS LITTLE ATTENTION AS POSSIBLE TO THESE SORTS OF CRIMES. PEOPLE THINK THEY WILL GET FAMOUS IF THEY PULL A STUNT LIKE THIS. WE NEED TO IGNORE AND NOT SENSATIONALIZE IT.
….because the genocide that is happening in Darfur isn't something to talk about?! Or the war in Iraq were a countless number of people are dying each day? Yeah, no where else in the world do people get senselessly shot. God Perez maybe if you weren't so obbsessed with celebrities you would know what else is going on in the world.
One word…….guns.
fuck the us
u stupid
ya betta stop this shit quick
it only happens in america whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
its fuckin eazy to buy a gun
its like u goin tu buy sum milk same dam think
ya betta vote and stop thos shit quick
i feel b ad for u guyz
fuck the us
u stupid
ya betta stop this shit quick
it only happens in america whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Re: Meghan – Well said!
because any dickhead can get a gun there.
I will give you the answer to that question, Perez. Because only in your country you can easily get a gun. In other developed countries, e.g.european countries, citizens don't have access to gun, so as you may know it's really difficult to kill 5 people with a knifes, besides the guts you have to have to do it, in contrary to press a triger.
Wake up America!!!! Until you getter better gun laws, sensless killings like this will just keep happening over an over again! How do school kids get guns???it is ridiculous!!The children of your country have a right to go to school and not be afraid that they might get shot to death during class! stop bashing your heads against a brick wall asking 'why oh why!?' AND DO SOMTHING ABOUT IT!!These guns that you feel that you have a right to have for 'protection' are just being used to harm innocent people!
Re: Viv – please tell her i'm sorry
i live an hour away, i feel your pain. the people that died all live near me, its all really sad
and perez, you must be kidding if you say it only happens in america. seriously
Because in other parts of the world hundreds die every day in suicide bombings and ethnic cleansing. Get your head out of your ass and read a newspaper, idiot.
Meghan is so right. Do you have any idea how many massacres happen in the rest of the world but don't get as much media coverage? Sure it's a horrible tragedy, but so are the other massacres that the media do not find worth mentioning just because the victims were not American. This double standard makes me sick.
And to all you self-rightous Canadians who like to pretend that this kind of things do not happen in the land of the maple syrup, have you already forgotten about the Concordia and the École Polytechnique massacres in Montréal? Evil knows no border.
i live about 20 minutes from the campus.
It never should have happened. Its a VERY tight knit community. Things like this dont ever happen around here. its terrible.
hardly much difference than the suicide bombers don't you think?
doesn't happen in other countries?? DARFUR????
Maybe it has something to do with the ridiculous "right to bare arms" scenario. What about these victims right to live? Doesn't that override the right to carry around a gun? This is like the 4th school/ campus shooting i have heard about in the last 2 weeks and i live on the other side of the world. Unfortunately this has happened many times before with more casualties and nothing has been done! When will this sink in?
Just a reminder there was a 1999 school shooting in Alberta in Canada. This is not an "America" problem. Violence is worldwide.
This doesn't happen in Canada, simply because we have strong laws on guns and violence. It's not like we have gun shops around every corner here, it's crazy tight our police & laws..
Re: stfu – I'm waiting to hear all your reasons you think your country is so great…
It's not just about guns: Remember the old adage? "Guns don't kill people, people kill people. "
What this means is that Americans' attitude with regards to how they view themselves in relation to other people is skewed. America teaches its people from Kindergarten that "You're number 1! You're the best! Noone can be better! You deserve everything! Let noone take away your dreams! Freedom! Freedom everywhere!" What does this do to an American? They grow up believing that they are above so many things. And when you get two Alpha-personalities who have been taught this butting heads, you get conflict. If someone told you every day for 25 years that YOU were the best, then someone else came along saying "I'm the best!" what would you do? What we'd get, is what we're seeing. Elimination. Destroy those who'd dare take my place as the best! It's delusion. Noone is as full of themselves and therefore as arrogant and violent over their peers as Americans. Noone else on Earth is taught that they are the best. It breeds understanding. Look at Canada. Everyone is the same, noone is the best. They're among the least confrontatinal and violent people on Earth. Americans are sinking their own ship.
i've spoken my peace, i know i'm right, so i'm outta here.go argue with someone who cares about your beauracratic bullshit, cause i'm not buying it!
Its not about the guns, because there are other countries with guns and they dont have that problem. SO why is it that we are so quick to kill and hurt people. Its because our own government is doing that to us.
Re: Jen – Jen you're either blind, ignorant or a hypocrite. I lived most of my life in Switzerland. Guns are the number one means of committing suicide in the country. Fathers flip out, shout their wives and kids before putting a bullet in their heads. Every now and then some lunatic starts shooting people on the streets with their army gun. Don't pretend like guns aren't a problem in Switzerland. My friend almost got shot in one of those random street shootings on her way back to school when we were kids so your comment really PISSES ME OFF.
Re: Timothy C –
I don't think that has anything to do with it. There are other countrys with the same policies and they still don't have as much violence. We are the only country in the world that deals with this shit
Yeah, this kind of stuff doesn't happen anywhere else in the world. Except when a bus load of children are bombed on their way to school nearly everyday in the Middle East.
What an f-ing stupid selfish question! Why doesn't it happen in other parts of the world?
Reminds me of when my apartment was robbed and my roommate said to me "Why didn't they take any of your stuff?"
well…making guns legal is the stupidest thing a country can do
if guns are available people WILL use them
george bush is a retard - lecturing everyone about how it is a social problem when really he cannot ban them because all he wants is money
the world is so fucked up…
P.S Celine i think you have lost the plot a bit, every time this happens you people have become more numb to these events, instead of blaming gun laws you start blaming the media for making these kids want to shoot people up? I guarantee if you take away the guns the frequency of these events will rapidly decline. How often do you hear about people going crazy in a school with knives killing 30 people? I disagree that these events are sensationalized. They should be sensationalized, this is not something that should be happening every week, and by ignoring it you are allowing it to happen over and over again. Maybe instead of ignoring the news coverage you should be spreading the word about the need for gun control and letting the White House know they need to do something?
Re: josh – "i dont need to come outside the U.S.A."
you don't know how much you're missing… especially knowing how boring the live (in most places, not all) in the united states is…
you reminded me of a saying about the warm who lives in a shit but doesn't want to leave it because it's warm and soft and cozy… oh, well
Ummm…. maybe cause many countries have better social programs and don't alienate the majority of their citizens by denying them basic rights like health care, a decent place to live etc. while a minority of fat fuckers sit on their money piles self-righteously toasting themselves, with bottles of $300 champagne, on the "great success" of their country. Oh, and the lack of gun-control doesn't help either.
The problem with gun "control" is there is none. Anyone can get a weapon even if they are a convicted murder. All one has to do is read a local classifieds section in the news paper and you bypass any kind of law enforcement checks. I think that there will ever be any kind of real control. Even if personal weapon ownership is made illegal, that only places the people who now no longer have a gun at the mercy of criminals. It is a fine line to walk, but the purpose of gun ownership liberally applied is allow individuals to be made equal. It (gun control) is out of control. IE: not controllable. The genie is out of the bottle. There is not getting it back in either. It is sad that people with mental problems continue to do things like this, but even not have guns would not prevent that same mental person from plowing his car through pedestrians (if you can find any in the states since everyone is running around in their gas guzzlers). Unfortunatley I do not believe that any majority vote will outlaw personal gun ownership ever in the US.
Re: bj – Berlin last year: someone stabbed 13 people during a party at a train station.
This freaked me out so bad. Thats so close to my house and my town. I have friends that go there. I was just glad to hear none of them were victims. My regards to the families of the students involved.
Re: josh – oh, yeah… and it's funny to represent your people like heroes when it's obvious there're pretty much cowards… it's much easier to throw a bomb on a house where there's women and children to kill a terrorist than to catch him. and you can't protect yourself with fists or teaser? it's got to be a deadly weapon…
If practically every household didn't own a gun, I'm sure there wouldn't be anywhere near as many killings.
Here in Australia guns are illegal unless you're a member of the police force, another government agency or you have a permit (which are VERY strictly processed)
what the fuck do you mean it doesnt happen in other parts of the world?? Stuff like that happens so often in other parts of the world that our media doesn't even report on it!!!!
Hi Perez love your site…
I just wanted to say although Australia doesn't have people shooting other people at our schools we still have alot of violence…
Maybe the school shootings happen more there but at the end of the day everywhere has alot of violence….
Keep up the fantastic work Perez!!!!
"Why does it seem that kind of stuff happens so much in America but not other parts of the world????"
Check your facts (as reported on www.news.bbc.co.uk):
Scotland, March 1996: Gun enthusiast Thomas Hamilton shoots 16 children and their teacher dead at their primary school in Dunblane, Scotland before killing himself.
Yemen, March 1997: A man with an assault rifle attacked hundreds of pupils at two schools in Sanaa, Yemen, killing six children and two others
Germany, November 1999: A 15-year-old student in Meissen, eastern Germany, stabbed his teacher to death after taking bets from classmates he would dare commit the crime.
Germany, March 2000: A 16-year-old pupil at a private boarding school in the Bavarian town of Branneburg, shot a 57-year-old teacher, who later died. The teenager - who also shot himself - was facing expulsion from school after failing a cannabis test.
Germany, February 2002: A former pupil killed his headmaster and set off pipe bombs. The man also shot dead his boss and a foreman at the company he worked for before turning the gun on himself. Another teacher was shot in the face, but survived.
Germany, April 2002: Seventeen people killed after a gunman
Most Current:
Nov 7, 2007 - first school shooting in Finland since 1989
Sep 4, 2004 - Russia school siege toll tops 350
I love how everyone believes Perez knows everything. I would rather live in America than anyother country in the world shitty corrupt gov and all.
The media should stop sensationalizing these tragedies, because they just fuel the fire for other shitheads to copycat. These assholes will think that when they do these things, their names and photos will be famous, And you know what? They're right! CNN, FOX, all these effing journalists need to STOP sensationalizing, glamourizing this!

crack down on gun laws
guns are meant to kill…so why does anyone need one
you may say that guns are for self-defence..but if no one had guns, then no one would need to defend themselves against them.
Hello Prez..i was reading the part where you said Why does it seem that kind of stuff happens so much in America but not other parts of the world???? well im Canadian like most people who have commented on this.. the US consitution states you have the rights to bare arms… In canada we dont believe that.. are guns are owned by the police and people like that.. until the US gets better gun control policy then tragdies like this will sadly continue
R.I.P to the victims.. i feel so sorry for the families
Re: Check your facts –
And for everyone in Canada, congrats you made the CNN's "prominent school shootings in Canada and around the world." list:
Sept. 13, 2006:
Dawson College, Montreal
A young man opens fire outside Dawson College, a CEGEP serving about 10,000 students in downtown Montreal, and then continues the rampage inside the school. Witnesses describe seeing a tall skinny youth with a Mohawk haircut walk into the cafeteria shortly before 1 p.m. ET carrying a large gun. The shooter, Kimveer Gill, 25, lived in a borough of Laval north of Montreal. He killed himself in a confrontation with police inside the school. One woman is killed, 18-year-old Anastasia DeSousa, and 19 people are wounded, at least six critically. They range in age from 17 to 48, according to police.
Sorry!
Let's start with this question:
What are the fucking schools doing about this?
They are supposed to provide a safe, free bulling environment and yet many of them won't do it. They prefer to turn on a deaf ear unless tragedies like that happen.
Besides gun control let's try to better educate our youngsters.
not in other parts of the world!?? there are suicide bombings and bombs being dropped in many parts of the world right now!!!!!!!!
Kreuzberg thanks for the information on Berlin, but how often does this happen?
These shootings are happening more and more frequently in the U.S. You will never stop violence all together, it exists everywhere, but arming people so readily with weapons that can kill multiple people in seconds is obviously not helping. And to Josh, i am sorry mate but it is attitudes like yours that is bringing your country down.
Re: Jessica – Jessica, does Alberta, École Polytechnique and Concordia ring a bell to you? Massacres happen in Canada too, let's not fool ourselves ok?
One thing GUN FREE ZONE. this shit happens because you are not allowed to defend yourselves in these areas so these GUN FREE ZONES are where the sheep live and the killers know. EVERY one of these killings are in GUN FREE ZONES. instead of bitching like the sheep you are maybe you should make the laws on the books stick instead of letting these people get slaps on the wrist. enforce the laws on the books and then the problem will go away.
Re: bj – My point was that it doesn't matter if you have a gun or a knife, if you're after killing people you will kill people, no matter how.
I GO TO NIU…. please people, think of what you're saying. We're all still in shock here on campus, it hasn't really set it. Instead of arguing for the sake of doing so, keep us and the families of the victims in your prayers. Thanks
As a teacher to students with severe emotional and behavioral disoders, my concern is the amount of television time this is getting. The students in which I work with seem to sympathise with the killer and want to think that it is okay to be angry and just go on a shooting spree. I blame the television networks for constantly putting this on the air.
Ya its true, in Canada we did have like 2 school shootings, probably acouple more in the past. But you guys have like 5 per year. Way more then Canada. Sure, we have violence but no where near as much as you Americans do. I hate to break it to you but Canada still has less violence then you guys in the states do, and the people our more friendly overall here too but we do have some serious assholes here in Canada too but not as much as you guys. Another point I want to bring up is why are american's bringing up Canada's Native Indian people?!? This is about AMERICA not about Canada. All of you americans probably went on google to dig up dirt on Canada, which isn't even true! Do you ever see Canada on the news in the States? I doubt it!You guys don't even learn about Canada in school, while us Canadians have to learn all about your boring American history on top of learning about Canada's also boring history. It isn't fair!
I have read all these comments about USA this and USA that, well if you feel its really that damn bad, TELL YOUR PEOPLE TO STOP COMING HERE!! Really its just that simple, if you seriously feel the need to blame every little thing that goes wrong on the American government then you have major issues!
Re: Megan – Well put! I agree completly!
well this things happen just in us becoz its a psycho ppl there and mostly they need therapy for crime its criminal society and freedom of killing theyr butchers evrywhere theyr killing so now they need to feel some pain from other countries that they kill theme evryday by thousands in irak afghanistan africa etc………. its a murder country i hope they wil change the outside policy and take off fucking bush
So you people that think taking away guns is the answer, what do you suppose will happen if the American public was disarmed? Do you think hobbiest shooters with over tens of thousands of dollars invested in their hobby will just give them up?
Outlawing guns would make Roe vs. Wade look like a needle in a haystack. Matter of fact it would lead to a civil war.
Also, all you French assholes keep forgetting one thing, you still exert violent control over your former colonies, ie CHAD. Maybe you French folks oppose other people being armed cause it prevents nationalist goals? The French crimes in the Ivory Coast are compareable to that of the Nazi's. What is with the French and their fetish to control, kill, and eradicate enthnic and racial minorites?
Re: Darina – why won't you tell where you are from. that is the act of a coward. and id rather be the worm in shit, than the shit itself like you. i bet you dont shave your pits. you are a frenchy who the U.S. bailed out with billions of dollars.if not for that no telling where you would be. you are an ingrate. youll live in theU.S. , but then criticize it. great morals!!
Re: LoveYouPerezzers! – your prayers are not accepted go study more
You people are a bunch of liberal morons. To think that we should get rid of guns is absolutely ridiculous. Do you really think the criminals are going to turn in their guns that they got illegally? If someone comes in and breaks into your house, don't you think you should be able to defend yourself. Grow up you idiots and get a freakin clue. Maybe if you got educated and stop reading Perez Hilton every day you would know that liberalism is ruining our country!
sand nig
Re: Meghan – and you think ur so fucking smart u just showed that ur IQ test its too low comparing to 10 years old kids wot a fucking book u talking about u think those 3rd world countries they have worse and no media talk about it becoz of us troup that they r bombing themeselves and bcoz of killers marines usa trouble maker evrywhere in the world now god gave theme a gift to taste little bit of pain of all those who are under war by americans criminals psycho ppl ex:irak ,afghanistan, etc…………………. old time vietnam japan …… killers they have kids killers never change there i hope it will carry on there till usa got exterminated
our school had a death threat written on the bathroom stall too… and it pointed to something happening 02/15… today! Pretty creepy… But nothing happened. I know there are problems with a lot of guns being here… but I mean, why are isolation and loneliness such problems in a hugely populated country? And why do people think they don't need help?
Maybe cuz americans are more concerned about what Britney is having for supper than their own children
I cannot fathom why the US is so fucked up and you can't see it..
1. Why are you all arguing 'but this happens in other countries".I wouldn't give a fuck about what has gone down in other places but would be really concerned if this was happening here.
2."But look at countries like those in Africa, Middle East etc"Alot of these countries have MAJOR problems including wars, drought, Aids epidemics. The US has enough money and should have enough sense to stop senseless murder.
3. 'Crazies will kill people even if we have tighter gun control" EVERY country has mentally unstable people (perhaps more so in the US because of your poor Healthcare system). However when there are very few guns in a country it is alot harder for those who shouldn't have access to them too find them.
Yeah I wonder ..duh maybe cuz americans have thiie priorities totally fucked up…Like what is britney doing???
The US is self-destructing, Karma??
Re: Liberals are Communists – rock on dude!! im with you 110%!!!!perfectly said.
Re: fuckuperez –
You're talking about IQ yet you spell because (bcoz)? I've seen 7-9 year old kids with down syndrome with better spelling skills than you. I vote you for having the most retarded, and amusing post I've read all day.
" you think ur so fucking smart u just showed that ur IQ test its too low comparing to 10 years old kids wot a fucking book u talking about u think those 3rd world countries" Can someone please translate this from WATERHEAD into ENGLISH for me?
Oh and I know Perez wouldn't answer this even if he read it, but, if you had the chance to shoot and kill Fidel Castro and set all the Cubans free would you?
To answer your question, maybe it has to do with the fact that you can buy guns and bullets at fucking Walmart!!!!
Worst tradgedies are happening over the world. But this incident is awful indeed. (i.e. Darfur genocide, Isreali conflict, etc)
Re: FUCKING CONCIETIED – truly right i agree with u 10000 % mate usa need 2 look how many kids dies and innocent ppl in all the places invaded by us marines irak afghanistan etc……. and craping on media saying we r looking for al qaida its stories of small fucking bush to steal oil and invade those poor countries murdring theme that why god show usa little bit of pain and now they can compare it 2 millions who dies evryday so it feels ?
Yanks, Have a read of all these comments and stop thinking we are bagging your country cause we are jealous. Be a little humble and admit that your country is not the excellent place you all claim it is..Why can't you fix this???You are one of the lucky countries that has the means and resources to help yourselves BUT DON'T. You repeat often 'your right to bear arms'. This is obviously not working for you. WAKE UP SEPTIC TANKS!
I really don't think this has anything to do with why does it happen in the United States a lot more than other places. I'm a student at NIU and was in the building next to it with friends in the auditorium. You just never know when it's going to happen. I think the biggest thing is to give respect to everyone who lost their lives and were injured, we'll have enough to deal with when WBC starts to pickett, flyers have been posted on their website. Unexplainable things happen all of the time.
As a recent NIU grad (December 2006) I am shocked that this tragedy has happened. You never think it will be your school. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this time. I would also like to thank everyone from around the country for their prayers and condolences. This is truly a devastating tragedy and has hit home for me. Thank you Perez for your condolences.
are you fucking joking? you ignorant fuck. it happens in every part of the world, you are just too caught up with shizz to realize. whats that to say about the wars all over the world today?
wat the fuck are you talking about it only happens in the US? its happened in canada even recently like little over a year ago there was a shooting at dawson college in montreal resulting in 1 death but you dont hear about that in the US do you? don't think just because you havent heard of this happening elsewhere that it doesnt
It does happen in other worlds… much more than it does here. However, no one gives a fuck about a poor school in an obscure country– why should the media?
Amen CHECK YOUR FACTS!!! It happens everywhere and more gun control and will only put us in the position Hilter put Germany in prior to WWII. why can't we learn from history??
Re: josh – "why won't you tell where you are from. that is the act of a coward."
wow… that's such an act of a coward… no way near like throwing a bomb on women and children…
i'm from bulgaria - paradise for it's beautiful (fully shaved) women and nature.
it's not my choice to live in the states, that's how live worked out for now. america has it's pluses and minuses like every country. i'm not that anti-american as you probably think. but i like witnessing the culture of a country - not just saying like you "you envy" without even know if there's a reason.
Its pretty easy to get guns over there thats possibly it fuck sake how many times have these terrible tragedies got to happen before tougher laws are put into place like over here in Britain its pretty hard to get a gun here like!!
to all the southern/midwest hick hunters etc. : its your fault we will always have guns….and in turn, your fault that mentally SICK people have/get them and kill innocent people…….
Re: josh – Hi Josh, ill tell you where i am from, i am from Australia and about 11 years back we had a crazed loony walk into a cafe at a well known tourist spot with a gun and kill 35 people. Guess what happened after that? Our government took away the guns and it hasn't happened since. Its not rocket science. I live in the capital city of my country and i feel safer than i ever have before. This doesn't mean it will never happen to me, but at least i know the chances are slim because someone did something about it. And also to Matt, in my country there are certain people who are allowed to keep guns for hobbies/sport etc, but prior to being given a license they are subject to a police check, they must provide evidence for what the gun will be used for (sports, hobbies, and farmers in some cases) and they must also show that the firearm will be kept in an enclosed space with suitable locks. So there are exceptions if there are legitimate reasons for having them. (Not just for protection)
I live only 1/2 hour away from NIU and have been there many times for their football games. I have a number of friends that attend there as well as a few family members. My heart goes out to all the families involved in this tragedy. It just makes you realize that you can't take anything for granted. Hug your friends, your neighbors, your kids, your spouse and even your enemies. They are what make us strong.
One question though, didnt the person who sold him the guns legally wonder why the hell this psych would need 4 guns and what they hell he was going to use them for. Gee…maybe a call to the authorties would have helped a little…
actually 7 died because the dude that shoot them 4got 2 take his medicine!!
WITH THE BIBLE IN ONE HAND AND GUN IN THE OTHER
Does anywhere in the bible God say: kill each other ?
The dated "everyone has the right to bare arms" gun law, thats the first problem.
and another thing, to all those haters of the US of A…sorry, but I would rather live here than anywhere else in the world. You have to be pretty small minded to call all Americans stupid, say that we live in a stupid society and blame everything on all us Americans…get the hell over it. Yes our gun laws need to change, I think most of us agree with that, I certainly do, but it does NOT make us a horrible country and certainly we are not all STUPID.
Re: Darina – " bulgaria" you are neighbors to the sand nigs! no wonder you hate on us.period…
everyone can complain about our gun laws yet no one wants to mention how many people are able to save themselves because they had been armed with some form of protection. what needs to be changed is the ease in which we let people obtain guns- they should be kept in the right hands. and saying this is the only place in the world where violence happens is beyond ridiculous. try living in the middle east then we'll see how much you want to complain about America
Very sad, you say why does it happen there, access to guns would be the answer, eveyone seems to have a gun in the U.S!!! Hearts go out to all of the families.
I mean yeah this is sad, and I'm in high school myself and this is a very scarey thought. Most of the time the kids that shoot up schools are nerdy lets face it. And nerds get picked on in school, it's just how it is. And after a while people get tired of being called names, so I think that bullying is the underlying factor of all the school shootings, well at least most of them. I mean if kids in school wernt so harsh maybe this kind of things wouldn't go on.

Google yourself, your in denial, shock even…..poor delusional lemmings. Really c'mon;grow-up the world is not all warm fuzzies. And stop stereotyping the US as a whole. But wait I can do it too….hope a grizzly eats you…there I have stooped to your level. Have a good weekend.
WTF Perez "Why does it seem that kind of stuff happens so much in America but not other parts of the world????
Our service men in IRAQ see this shit everyday! You have no clue until someone come to your DOOR and shoots your ass. Then you're liberal ass will think differenty
Hey Perez!
Look at how many comments you have received for this post. Why don't you try and start a petition or something - I don't know. It seems like such a shame that everybody agrees it is the same issue but nothing is done about it. The last time something like this happened in Australia was 1997 and things changed immediately. Why do things not change in the USA?
