Every music student at Julliard, Eastman, New England Conservatory of Music, etc. knows that "RAP" is not music and music is not "RAP". Furthermore "Hip-Hop" is a youth-oriented counter-culture. "Hip-Hop" is not music in the formal strict sense of the word, nor does real music have anything to do with "Hip-Hop". Three hundred years from now, Bach & Beethoven will be plowing on. RAP and Hip-Hop will be older & more tired than the Twist or The Charleston. Likely forgotten, or at best a footnote in books on the period.

Saw him at Good Vibrations festival in Melbourne last weekend. He was supposed to be the headline act but he was just boring. So disappointing - no passion. Guess he was just in rush to get back for the Grammys, huh?
Kanye is a prolific songwriter independant of anything. No one can take that away and he will just get better and better. His performance at the Grammys was inspirational and amazing.
He is a presence that is enduring and will stand the test of time. People who criticize him re his clothes etc are grasping at straws.
Kanye and Eminem would be a good collaborative effort if the ego could stay out of things.

I saw Kanye at Sydney Good vibes festival recently…and he was CRAP. he did like 4 outfit changes in 40 minutes…didnt even seem to sing a few songs and the whole set was really slow songs instead of fast fun upbeat ones that you want to hear at festivals. I didnt even particularly like Kanye before but now as well as tjhinking he's a self obsessed wanker, i think he's a fake and a really bad performer as well.
Kanye is all about the music when it comes to his shows, saw him on the usher tour and he was just a side act it was the best show i've ever seen nobody can deny the fact that he is a great ENTERTAINER!
