This is awesome. Thank you for posting this. That album did not get the respect it should have. Mandy Moore and John Alagia and all the other people that worked on that album did a fabulous job. And Gardenia is truly a triumph when it comes to songwriting. You're a pretty cool guy Perez.

This is such a beautiful song. I was able to see Mandy perform it live at a free acoustic set she did here locally in Ohio in August and she was fantastic. I love how she doesn't fit the mold of Britney or Christina or especially Jessica. She wants to do her own thing, including seriously act, unlike "Crossroads" or "The Dukes of Hazzard". Yay for Mandy!

I saw Mandy perform live in Madison this past fall and it was really a great show. She has truly come a long way from the fifteen-year-old "B grade" pop star that sang "Candy". For this "new" album, Wild Hope, she collaborated with such musicians as Rachael Yamagata, Lori McKenna and Chantal Kreviazuk and she herself describes the style as "folk pop". She has really come into her own, and I think we can expect good things from her in the future. Who would have guessed! And she has really established herself as a grounded, mature celebrity. What a lovely person!
DUH. How would you have NOT heard this album a year ago!? It's definitely her best, and no one knows about it because her others were LAME.

I have the Wild Hope CD and it's FANTASTIC. People seem to think Mandy Moore is bland vanilla because she doesn't show her crotch or get arrested because of bad choices. She's extremely talented and this song is just one of MANY good ones from her. You're doing yourself a favor if you listen to the entire CD.

This entire album is a must-have in my cd changer in my car. I have it on random repeat constantly, especially when I have lots of driving to do–it's a great road cd. It's a great cd, period, and she is extremely underrated.
Perhaps it's better that way, though. At least she will remain down-to-earth, talented and lovely, and won't be corrupted by the fame. Love love LOVE Mandy Moore!

Her album that came out last June has this song on it. I have loved since the first time I heard it. But, I mean its been out for a while now. She areasy went on tour with this song/ album. sorry perez you were way late disscovering this song.

I love this song too! I saw Mandy sing this a while back on the Tyra show (your fave! lol!). Tyra was so surprised about the part where she says she likes to make love on the floor because she wrote the song and she seems so sweet and innocent. Is the rest of the album good? I might have to go out and buy it!

Thanks Perez for finally supporting and giving some recognition to a true artist like Mandy Moore. "Wild Hope" is such a beautiful album and a huge departure from anything she or her peers have ever done before. It's great to see that finally someone is recognizing her talent and giving her and her album some attention. It was ridiculously overlooked when it came out last year, so I don't care if this is "old news", it deserves to be talked about again and hopefully the album will finally get the merits it deserves. Great job Mandy.
