Mike, I think there is a reason for his new look. From what I gather from one of the clips shown on the fan club, I think Criss's show next season will be a bit edgier, thus the beard. I am only speculating here.
Beard or no beard, the man is multi-talented. His live Mindfreak show back in the day was a huge success. I highly recomend seeing his Made in Japan or Supernatural DVD's, they are a must to see. I have yet to see the Mindfreak DVD but hear it's amazing. That is definitley on my want list and something to order soon list.
From the fan board, I hear Tronik is making an appearance on his live show. Here are two excepts from an article I found.
