If he were around today, TR might be speaking of the woman in the arena. Hillary Clinton has been in that arena for a generation. She is one of the few to have defeated the attack machine that is today's Republican Party and to have emerged stronger. She has never been intimidated, not by any Republican — not even John McCain.
Barack Obama claims to represent the future, but it should be increasingly evident that he is not the man for this moment, especially with Mr. McCain's arrival. We've seen a preview of that contest already. It was a TKO.
Hillary has very little experience — she is a junior senator just like Obama, but he ALSO has 7 years experience in Illinois. She is boring and selfish and attacks people constantly. That seems to be her main skill. That and taking money from lobbyists.
I used to like her, but I've been very disillusioned in the last few months. I can barely look at her now.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin's largest daily newspaper, said it recommends that voters support Obama in the state's Feb. 19 primary because “change and experience are crucial to moving this country forward” and the Illinois senator is the “best-equipped to deliver that change.”

That’s what Hillary Clinton is screaming this week, after losing the last eight Democratic primaries and caucuses to that ungrateful upstart, Barack Obama.
America seems poised to reject the House of Cards known as the House of Clinton.
Hillary tells us that she was no garden-variety First Lady. By her own admission, she was in on every major foreign and domestic policy decision of the first Clinton co-presidency (conversely, why does anyone think it woul’sd be any different for Bill with her at the top of the ticket?). Hence, the “experience” on which she is running.

The more I thought about that claim, the more I thought back to the legacies of a few other 20th century First Ladies. Eleanor Roosevelt was the first modern activist First Lady, an independent powerhouse who worked with refugees and children. Jackie Kennedy restored the White House to its former glory. Lady Bird Johnson spearheaded the Beautification of America program. Nancy Reagan drove the Just Say No to drugs program. Laura Bush is a powerful advocate for children’s literacy.
What is Hillary’s legacy as First Lady? What was her big achievement? What “experience” does she really have?
If she wants us to believe that she has that “experience,” then she should release all of her White House records so we can see that experience. With a single stroke of the pen, she could release her internal papers so we can evaluate that experience for ourselves. But she won’t do it. She won’t let us see the documentation of this so-called “experience.”

Obama Picks Up Key Endorsements in Wisconsin, Texas

Feb. 16 (Bloomberg) — Barack Obama picked up key newspaper endorsements in Wisconsin and Texas today as he and Hillary Clinton compete for delegates in states that may help determine which candidate wins the Democratic presidential nomination.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin's largest daily newspaper, said it recommends that voters support Obama in the state's Feb. 19 primary because “change and experience are crucial to moving this country forward” and the Illinois senator is the “best-equipped to deliver that change.”
The Houston Chronicle, the biggest daily publication in Texas, gave similar reasons for endorsing Obama, 46, over Clinton. He's “the best-qualified by life experience, skill and temperament to be the standard bearer for his party,” the newspaper said in an editorial today.
