Perez, thank you for putting her out there…..remember, this is not a popularity contest, this is about your future. Of all the candidates, she is the ONLY one with a specific plan.

2. Hillary Sucks Ballz says – reply to this

502

Hey Perez. Hillary is a status quo, Iraq war supporter. If all that hair dye hasn't already warped your brain, you'd know who the legitimate Democratic candidate is….Barack Obama. Why don't you get a college education and do a little bit of reading and maybe you'd have a better concept of how US politics works and you'd know whom you should really support.

Please don't vote for family members of past presidents. :(

Do you really think that the most qualified person to be President of the United States happens to be the other president's wife?

506

Hillary offers you solutions, Obama offers you speeches. Your choice. Remember the surplus of the 90's? Bring the CLINTIONS back!!

7. Maria Shriver says – reply to this

507

Re: Dolores – Are you serious? So, being Bill's wife automatically disqualifies her, even if she's spent her whole adult life serving this country in one way or another? How about Bob Dole's wife? He ran for President and many wanted her to run for President, too. I guess Hillary should never have married Bill, just so she could legitimately run for president, in your view?? Sheesh.

She can't even manage her campaign without dipping into her own fortune which she won't show tax returns right now when asked. If she can't financially manage her own campaign, what will she do with our economy, healthcare, foreign affairs, security, etc.? It seems she flies by the seat of her pants. And it shows as she is falling short in fundraising department, delegates, and votes compared to Barack Obama. She's the one making speeches as her promises are failing which is evident in the voters voices. Perez, I agree with the many people here who say this is an entertainment site not Anderson Cooper, Tim Russert, or political analyst blog. You seem to post propaganda and not hard facts. If you want to post the election on your page, post all candidates and high level and hard facts if you really want to show how aware you are of what is going on.

Stop with all the politics. I am officially NEVER going to visit this site again. If you are voting this year, please get information about the candidates from worthy sites and decide for yourself who YOU want to vote for NOT Perez. If news comes out that PEREZ does has some influence in voting, I would be so ashamed to be apart of the American public to be talking a celebrity bloggers word/opinion as truth.

17. Swair says – reply to this

517

Perez you are shameless. Stop pimping her out.
And for the people saying she has accomplished more than Obama: What has she acomplished that Obama has not, exactly?
She is married to a former president. Wow. VERY impressive, really.
Sen. Obama HAS experience in community organizing (among other things). He knows how to change things from the bottom up. Read his books. He CAN change things. He knows what he's up against!
Thier stances aren't too different (except the infamous vote FOR the Iraq war on Hillary's part), so we can afford to vote on character, even though many people who vote for Obama do not base their vote solely on it.
Now, Hill'd make an okay president. But I think the US needs an EXRAORDINARY president right now.
Someone who will change the way the world looks at it. Someone who is smart and honest. You can accuse Obama of many things, but you can NEVER doubt the man's sincerity.

Vote for REAL change! Obama '08

On May 1st, 2006 millions of Latino immigrants and their allies marched all over this nation in support of comprehensive immigration reform. 400,000 marched in Chicago alone. Only two sitting United States Senators stood with them that day. One was Senator Ted Kennedy. The other was Senator Barack Obama. He said later that week in a statement:

I think we need to recognize that if we are going to uphold the traditions of this country as a nation of immigrants, than we are going to have to deal with this issue in a way that reflects common sense and compassion.

525

How is it a good thing for our nation that the same two immediate families should hold sway over our political lives and the office of the president for so many years? How does Senator Clinton answer that question in the minds of voters?

Clinton's answer was brilliant, pithy and the "take away line" of the debate:

Clinton absolutely nailed it with her quip that "it took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush, and it may take a Clinton to clean up after the second Bush."

-Chicago Sun Times
The only problem with that answer is that, like so many Clinton answers including those on the war in Iraq it's not really an answer at all. In fact, it exudes a cynicism that has emanated from the Clinton campaign from day one. It's a messy world, lower your expectations, don't expect your questions to get answered, don't look behind the curtain, don't buy anything from a guy 'selling hope', leave politics to the monied professionals, we know what we are doing.

If that's the rationale for your candidacy, if you think that's a sufficient answer to the complexities of the reservations we voters have about sending Bill and Hillary Clinton back to the White House, and what that would mean for those of us who want a fundamental change in our nation then you are not simply deeply cynical about the expectations Americans have of our leaders and our government but also unaware of the depths of our aspirations for a new day.

Re: LISTEN and THINK – YOu nailed it "LISTEN and THINK" — beautifully said. Obama is a great motivational speaker. He does seem like a noce guy — the kind you'd want teaching your kids. But he clearly does not have the substance to be the President of the U.S..
And I don't like how he has tried to make his lack of experience a plus — that spin gives me the creeps.

Hey I like blue sky as much as the next person and if I thought blue sky was enough to run the country, I would definitely vote for Obama — he's cooler. But hard experience, grit, tough work and laser beam intelligence (not that Obama isn't very bright — he is, but he's not as bright as Clinton is), are needed for America and Hillary Clinton is the one who should be elected. Let's hope she is — for America's sake!!!!

It wasn't that long ago when Ameicans did not rely on their government for services. Now that's ALL people think our government is for– and Hillary is leading the pack with promises to help you with health care and mortgages. Youngsters, you should talk to your parents and grandparents and ask them what this country used to be like: when people relied on themselves to get by– NOT THE GOVERNMENT! Remember, if you accept their "help" you're giving them power over your life. Ask not what your country can do for you…

Let's be honest here, if Perez was backing Barack Obama he wouldn't be getting as much slack.Barack Obama is relatively new to the scene, he is attractive, charismatic and have the support of many, including many celebrities. He is like the popular kid in school and everyone admires him and wants to be associated with him because he is popular…but that does not mean that he should be President. I don't have anything personal against him, but talk is cheap and making speeches about inspiration and hope is not going to sway me in my vote.Obama rarely talks about policy and that concerns me.When you ask his supporters and endorsers as to why they are for him, all they can say is that he is going to bring change. What does that mean? I am an optimist but I want more substance from the candidates and Obama has been lacking in that department.Hillary Clinton is the wife of Bill Clinton, but I don't think that it is fair to attach her to all of Bill's decision making within the White House. I really believe that she will act as her own person and make the best decisions for the country.Let's be honest whoever is the next President will have a big mess to clean up.

The increased youth voter turnout is credited to him as well…but I have to admit you Obama surporters are very hateful against Hillary Clinton…probably more hateful than just cause.Hopefully you support Obama because of his strengths and policies, not because he is the more "likeable" or "popular" choice.

What our country needs is a leader who can make change, who can unite the country that's been divided, a person who sees beyond his/her personal agenda and interest, who speaks for us citizens!
As a woman, Hillary does not represent the ethics and principles of the female front. This was proven time again and again, while she was in the White House, during her sorry husband's impeachment, and her dirty ethical choices during this campaign… Her whole life (loyalty to Bill during the most humiliating infidelity) has been a strategy to get to where she is now, to the first female president. Yes, she stood by her man alright.
Furthermore, her resume is nothing more than being a senator of NY, nothing more, nothing less. Why is she more qualified than the other candidates? Have you done the research? She supported the WAR in Iraq 8 yrs ago and now she pushing a health care bill that will MANDATE (force you to buy health care whether you want it or not! This means if you are a healthy 24 year old, who doesn't want health care just yet, she will take your hard earned money out of your taxes!!!) Is this the freedom of choice for us?? If she becomes the next president, she will be no different from Bush or McCain. She is a two faced woman with a whole lot contradictions and she will not represent me!

February 16, 2008 — Barack Obama's primary-night results were strikingly under recorded in several congressional districts around the city - in some cases leaving him with zero votes when, in fact, he had pulled in hundreds, the Board of Elections said today

Unofficial primary results gave Obama no votes in nearly 80 districts, including Harlem's 94th and other historically black areas - but many of those initial tallies proved to be wildly off the mark, the Board of Elections confirmed.

Truth is, in some districts getting a recount, the senator from Illinois is even close to defeating Hillary Clinton.

Since 1980, a Bush or Clinton has been in the white house. That's 28 years of Bush and Clinton. Do we really want another four years added to that total? Probably not. That's a little bit too much experience for me. It's time for change.

If you do some fact check and vote for Hillary, we will end up with a president that is just like BUSH. HIllary supported the WAR in Iraq and now she pushing a health care bill that will FORCE you and me to pay up through the tax dollars.
Obama's health care bill gives us the CHOICE to pay or not. Obama has the ethics and his interest is 100% purely based on American's interest, he is the only candidate that will change United States for a change. It's time for a better future!

568

People…please do your homework. It is Obama that is thE most expereinced candidate. In fact, he has more legislative experience than Hillary and John Edwards. He spent 8 years in the Illinois state legislature folks and now has almost 3 years in the US Senate.

I have yet to have ANYONE list exactly what Hillary's so-called "35 years of experience" consists of. Not a one. Let's see…she was the First Lady of Arkansas and the First Lady of this country. Other than that, she has spent 6 years in the Senate…now going on 8. THAT'S IT FOLKS!!! Her main contribution while Bill was in office was a notoriusly failed healthcare package.

Bottom line, Obama has 8 years in the state legislature and now almost 3 in the Senate…do the math . He is the candidate with the most experience. Stop spreading untruths that you hear from Hillary's spin doctors.

BTW…please tell me how in the hell do you think Hillary is going to pay for madatory healthcare for all? Do you realize that this is just a gimmick. She knows damn well that there is no way to fund such a program and that it will never pass Congresss. Yet she can at the end of the day say that she tried. PLEASE!! She is being intellectually dishonest.

As for her pie in teh sky healthcare program…please

You can FEEL how deadly scared Hillary Clinton is in this video. She can barely lie anymore… ha ha. But her intelligent rhetorics are still blinding some fools…
This woman wants to be on top and couldn't care less about YOU. She's all tactics, lies, empty promises. Funny that she's accusing Obama of things which she IS herself!!! Strange…You are being manipulated by this woman and the league behind her, MASSIVELY. It saddens me deeply that people are not wiser and don't see through her. I mean this. But it gives me hope that many many indeed are seeing Obama's truthfulness. Obama's words are not empty. They are filled with the wishes of his HEART. THAT'S WHY he has such an inspirational energy. It does not come from nowhere, but from his CHARACTER of truhtfulness, change, and his respect for humans. That's why he's winning the hearts of people. Because HIS is IN there.

GO HILLARY!!!! Thank you Perez for sticking to your opinions. I wish people would stop with the awful negative (not to mention untrue) comments about Hillary. This is a historical election, and I while I am a Hillary supporter, I have nothing against Obama. Why can't the democratic party just unite and realize we have to in order to beat the republicans this time around?

Perez, this is great - thank you for your attempts to balance out the media bias against Clinton. We know you've done your homework about both candidates and have decided who you think would run the country better and fix all of our problems with health care, the economy, the foreclosure problem, Iraq, our standing in the world. I am also a young voter who has looked at both sides and tried to understand everything on their websites. I've listened to debates and interviews and had to conclude that Clinton is the best person right now who can fix our problems. I really like Obama too but he doesn't have half of the knowledge and detail about everything that Clinton does. Just listen to Obama attempt to answer questions in debates or in interviews. He really doesn't answer the question directly because he hasn't rehearsed an answer it seems like. Clinton, on the other hand, really knows a lot about everything and understands what it would take to fix things in every single area that has been broken by Bush.

Obama is cuter and all my friends wike him!! What people say about voting record and experience is such doo-doo. We need a president who will make the other countries like us again and who we like to see on tv when he talks. He is the new Kennedy and makes people have hope and he's more popular. Vote Obama!!

Senator Obama's campaign theme song should be "Don't Worry be happy"…
.
Anyone who can spin a lack of experience into an asset and turn such a poor voting record into "nothin' major" has got some seriously powerful Kool-Aid.

Obama and Rezko are dirty. Rezko's latest request for a delay in his trial was denied last week. The Rezko trial begins March 3, 2008. Do people really think Rezko is the only one that is dirty and Obama is totally clean in all this? If you know anything about the process, you would know that the quotes coming out of Chicago implicate Obama. Look for more indictments to come down. It is just a matter of time before the "big fish" are caught and fried by the federal grand jury, "Chicago Style."

Perez, thank you for posting this… your choice of substance over pretty rhetoric ups my opinion of you.
I used the hyperlink you posted to make a donation for Clinton's campaign. If she doesn't win the democratic nomination, this election will be the first time in my life that I have voted for a Republican, (and I have been voting since 1976).
