Where's The Bump???
Filed under: Baby Blabber > Australiastic > Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman made a rare public appearance on Tuesday. The actress was in Tokyo to promote her film The Golden Compass, which was a dud in America.
How far along is she???

it's her first baby, and she's as thin as a rail–chances are she won't show for another month or so. i am due around the same time as her (july) and at a normal weight i am just now beginning to show.
Usually take around 4 or 5 months for some women with their first. My friend is pregnant and she is about 4 months and still isn't showing. Especially for very skinny or women that work out a lot. She is showing a bit, she just chose a dress to cover it up. My question to her is why would you want to cover it up?!
Seriously what the fuck is up with that dress! She has a bump not everybody gets huge.
Its wierd because it seems like she announced her pregnancy like ages ago;.
Tall women don't show until later on. I am 5' 9" and I did not show until my 6th month; anyway, she obvs looks pregnant to me. Good luck Nichole!
First child, skinny and tall? mid fifth or in the sixth month. You don't get BIG until your 7th month.
it depends on the person. i was wearing a bit larger shirts at 7 months and people were convinced i wasn't pregnant when i had my first. i popped later that month big time!
women start to show at 3 months. and you can tell she has a little bump going on
WHAT ARE YOU???/ BLIND???? You can totally see her bump and she looks GREAT!!! For a woman in her level of fit, toned condition, she may not even show until late in her 2nd trimester or even early 3rd trimester. In some cases not at all. It all depends on the woman, and her uterus and where it is positioned in HER body. Why don't you educate yourself first before making asinine comments!
When you're lean like her, it could take up to 5 months before she starts showing. With my first, I started to show at 5 months. She's tall and lean, so she may not go JLO-style chubbs.
some women start showing really early and some dont start showing until their second trimester. when my mother was pregnant some people didnt even know she was pregnant because she didnt get very big at all.
She is very tall, 5'10", and women that are that tall can hide a bump longer because they have more room. She is probably about 4-5 months.
I didnt start showing until 24 weeks
I am 19 weeks and just started showing, but since she is so tiny she could be around the same time frame or further along. The smaller you are the less you will show right away.
She does have a bump. When you are tall you have more room. She probably won't show until she is 7 months. There was a blind item somewhere that a Hollywood actress lost her baby. I don't know who, but I was hoping it wasn't her.
i didnt start to shown until I was 5 months….its different for everyone….but thats just me
Women usually start to show around 3 months…especially if you're really really thin, like Nicole. But if it's not their first pregnancy they will show A LOT sooner.
Since it is her first baby, she could not start showing until 5 months in!
i was 6 1/2 months pregnant before i got a baby bump.
I'm just now into my 7th month, and I didn't start showing till late into my 6th month. It all depends on your body type.
I can tell. But then again I'm a women, not just pretending to be one!
A lot of women don't show for 5 or 6 months when they're pregnant with their first child. I can see a little belly.
Four months is when it happened for me. She IS showing, but you aren't seeing it, maybe. Her tummy is very fla, normally, and when you start to show, it isn't so much a bump as an overall thickening at first. IT's gross and it makes you feel THICK. But you get the prize at the end!
I'd guess she's around 4-5 months.
She needs to take that dress back so they can finish it. Dumbest looking thing ever.
Terrible dress!!!!!
She is tall with a long torso. I am built like that and didn't really start showing till my 7th month.
Nicole is a very very thin woman, and she is showing,, the second picture is very clear she is showing,,
I think she looks quite beautiful!!
I was 5 months pregnant before I clearly showed my first baby,, after the first baby, you tend to show earlier and earlier because your belly has been there done that before,, and knows it's time to stretch out,,
I wish people would not claim Nicole has had a miscarriage that is so sick and evil and rude,,
If you have never had a baby before, it can take awhile to show - maybe at 6 mos. - but also, she is super skinny to begin with, and prob. has strong ab. muscles
She IS showing! Can you see that side angle picture? She's usually paper thin. She just looks like a normal woman now, but I'd guess she's about 5 months along.
Relax Perez! I was about 5 months pregnant before I began to show! I'm now over 7 months and ready to get this kid outta me.
Once again making something out of nothing.
The dress has an empire waist AND it's black, so the bump isn't as obvious.
She is tall, and its her first, so she will probably not show till she is about 6 mo. I bet she is about 4.5 mo now. You can see a tiny bit of tugging around her hip and she is a bit fuller than she used to be. Typical of a tall woman.
i know people 33 weeks pregnant as small as her! it happens.
It usually takes up to 4-5 months before you start showing.
Her dress is designed as an optical illusion of fabric's to cache her baby bump.
Re: QUEENIE –
So right about that dress! I think the dress lines going in so many directions helps hid the "bump".
I'm eight months prego with my first child. and I didn't start to show until the fifth month.
First baby means that she'll be flat for a while.
She does look a little bit round in the tummy.
Wait, why do I care about this? Please find some real news!
About 4 months or so. If you were a woman you wouldn't have to ask. Y'all jsut do what you do best and leave the rest to us.
Congratulations! Nicole and Keith! You're a beautiful woman!
Tall women take longer to show, and first babies take longer to show usually. She is a tall woman, and first pregnancy (to term)…so you shouldn't expect her to be showing until she is late into her pregnancy. She might not really show until she is 5 to 7 months.
She is a tall lady like me. When I was 9 mos along with my son. I only looked like I was 5 mos pg. My doctor told me I was going to have a very tiny baby. The nurses at the hospital argued with me about my due date. I gave birth to a 8lb 12oz, 22 1/2 inch baby, much to their surprise. Tall women carry babies more up and down, not so much outward. What I want to know is where are her fuller breasts????
She has a baby bump! he is usually totally flat!
Maybe its just taking her longer. it looks to me like she's starting to show, its just low which i think means its suppose to be a boy.
Yeah, in the 2nd picture you can definitely see a small bump. She's tall and thin, and sometimes ladies like that barely ever show.
She is a very tall woman and b/c tall women have such long toros, they tend not to show as much, especially if they have a very toned abdomen. I bet she won't get a good sized bump until six or seven months.
she is so pickin' skinny that it's hard to see. She'll pop out soon enough - hopefully.
She could be about 4 months.
Good for her- being pg. Take that loser Tom Cruise. Her husband is way hotter than you!!
With your first pregnancy (that keeps), and plus, when you start out thin, you don't start to show until later. I didn't show until 5-6 months with my first pregnancy.
four months.
she is showing tho
just a VERY EXPENSIVE CUSTOM MADE GOWN SHE IS WEARING
It's a boy
for someone at thin as her it could take 4-5 months to even show, and actually if you look closely in the 2nd picture it does look like she might have a tiny bump.
is there… since she got pregnant at 40 her stomach muscles are very tight and will not expand until the 5th or 6th month…
It depends on the woman. I started to show around the start of my 6th month. Most of my baby weight went to my boobs.
She's showing, if you look the fabric is pulling and creasing a bit. She's very slender, so I'd be surprsied if she gained a ton of weight with this pregnancy. It's also her first pregnancy, which means she won't show as early.
I didnt show til 4 1/2 months..then I was a balloon
A) She is showing
B) It depends on many factors - the woman, whether it's her first pregnancy. My mom says she didn't start showing during her 1st pregnancy until she was 6 months.
supposedly she is FIVE months prego.
2 weeks ago, they said she had a mis-carriage
I have the same body type as her and I didn't show until about 7 months
I didn't show until over 6 months. Depends on the person.
I didn't really start to show until the *end* of my fourth month. Then it was like I exploded and I ended up having a 10lb baby.
With her first baby she may not show for a while…tall women may even take up to liek 6 months…
she is showing and that's normally when you're about 4 months along.
EVIL ICE PRINCESS GOT RID OF IT I BET
I forgot to check for a bump. I was to distracted by that fugly dress.
I didn't show until 6 months..and i'm just as thin as she is. People expected me to show at like 2 months, but you couldn't even tell i was preggers until i was 6 months along. It's just different with everyone
Some women wear the baby inwards for the first and second trimester… It happens! Love you here in Holland Perez! (l)
Julia Roberts was 4 months pregnant with her 3rd child when she filmed a scene in a movie in a bikini. You could not tell she was pregnant.
The first time a woman gets pregnant it takes about 3-5 months to show even a little becuase the abdominal muscles are still tight. The second time she may show at even two months becuase the muscles, skin, etc. have already been through it. Nicole looks more human and less plastic now though.
Well I'm 4 month pregnant and you can't see anything. I'm as flat as always except that I have more fat on me *lol*. It's Nicole's first baby so maybe it won't start to show yet. I have like one or two weeks left of month 4. But on some pregnant women you can see a baby bump really early.
Duuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh……
She IS showing. She could probably be 4-5 months. She's just a rail with a small bump. Babies are small, you know.
Re: TRINA – You really are a moron.
Lots of women don't show until the 5th month.. it's not unusual.
I must say that dress is H-I-D-E-O-U-S!!! Worst of the worst dressed… EVER
it is because she is so tall…if your torso is short the baby doesnt have so much room so it sticks out but if you are tall in the torso it has more room so it won't show as much
SHE IS VERY NARROW — AND NEVER BEEN PREGNANT BEFORE
NEW BABIES ON NEW MOMS OFTEN DO NOT SHOW UNTIL 7 MONTHS
HELLO IT IS LIKE SO SMALL ONLY A FEW INCHES IN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS.
Has anyone else noticed that since Nicole and Tom split her style has dramatically gone down hill……I think crazazy Tom might dress his women. By the way you can kind of see the bump….it's just that the dress is so ugly it distracts from it.
You realize that Nicole Kidman is 5'10 and people that are tall have a tendancy not to show like shorter people because of the fact that their torso's are longer and can hide the baby better in them.
She's glowing. She finally has an expression on her face. I'm so happy for her and you can see a bump. She's just real skinny.
WOW ! what is going on with her? She looks like a ghost ! Maybe black isn't a good color choice……And yes I see a pooch in her tummy……SHe needs to stick with pastel colors…..she is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to pale……
It's pretty common for first time mothers to not show until later in the pregnancy. She looks to be having a girl. Girl bellies are more inward then outward like boy bellies. I don't know, she looks kinda bumpy to me but it's so hard to tell cuz she's still so skinny.
She is tiny as it is. When she she starts to show it will happen fast! It might not be until 6 months or so.
I'm six months pregnant and up til a month ago I was still really tiny. The baby measures normal, etc, my doctor says first babies just "hide".
IT VARIES AS TO WHEN WOMEN START TO SHOW. TALL SLENDER WOMEN LIKE HER CAN LOOK LIKE NOTHING'S GOING ON TIL THE 5TH MONTH!
I didn't start to show until about 5-1/2 months, and I'm tall and thin (distance runner, exercise fiend) like Nicole, so she may not show for awhile.
I'm 4 1/2 months and I'm just really beginning to get a bump. Give her a little while….
Patience! Nichole was very skinny to start off, but it does take about 3-4 months to really show…and that dress with all the black, lace, and geometric mess of lines won't emphasize any pregnancy.
the bump will come!
Nicole is a tall woman. Women our height carry pregnancy well. People never knew I was pregnant until almost seven months.
Nicole is a tall woman. Women our height carry pregnancy well. People never knew I was pregnant until I was seven months.
well, she's very tall with a long torso…it's quite possible she won't get much of a bump until 6 months along or so. i didn't show with my first until 6 months, just got thicker around the middle. she does look thicker for nicole…
She is beautiful…stunning… Go Nic!
You see a baby bump on stick thin Katie Holmes, but not a hint of one on Nicole Kidman? I see a lot more of one on her than Katie Holmes.
Not all women grow crazy big. I know several women who have had healthy babies and looked 5 or 6 months pregnant when they were actually 9 months along. Size varies from woman to woman, so perhaps Nicole Kidman is just going to carry small.
If your as skinnny as Nicole it may be awhile. i didn't have a noticable bump till 5 months.
I was almost four months before I had to wear maternity clothes with my first child. You show a lot sooner with the 2nd.
It depends on the woman, on what she looked like before and just her body type. I've seen women who were showing this much at three months, and I knew a girl who was 8-9 months pregnant and didn't look any bigger than Nicole does in this picture. And when she had her baby, he was normal sized and everything.
that is the butt ugliest dress I have ever seen, what was she thinking?
I see a small bump - she's more bumpalicious that Katie
(Katie's ano, not preggo, BTW
)
I am four months and just started showing.
I'm tall (5' 10 1/2") and didn't show until 6 months. It isn't an advantage as you're at your sickest when no one can tell you're pregnant.
What's with that dress? Too much is going on.
