some ppl here will never understand the pride of being latino because their culture isn't so mocked and underpriced all over the media, specially the "american" (note tha all the people of the us call themselves american in spite of the fact tha latin america is also a part of america - duhhh, do you see the french refering to themselves as "europeans" ?) media.
thats why it's so important for all of us latin american brothers to never deny our roots, in order to move forward to a better future, without the domination of the so-called "americans" and european countries

It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant people can be when it comes to race and ethnicity. I am Mexicana but i also don't speak Spanish that well. I have an American accent . I can't help that my family raised me like that - but never did they raise me to hate or dislike for any reason my roots. When I was old enough to understand where my ancestors are from I took the liberty to put effort into speaking more Spanish and be more in touch with my heritage and I love it! It's a part of me that feels I've been missing. However, I always been able to understand and read it very well… just speaking it has been a minor issue. So I kinda (a little itty bitty) understand where Jessica Alba is coming from …. but anywho. I read your article… and as always loved it. Love your free spirit and loved getting to hear a little insight on you!
