Ashlee Simpson's Timbaland-produced single Outta My Head failed to catch on at radio, so they're going a different route.
The singer's record label ditched Head and is rush-releasing new single Lil' Miss Obsessive.
This song has her boyfriend Pete Wentz's fingerprints all over it! And it's much much better. It feels more organic.
A power pop/rock anthem, the song features Tom from Plain White Ts singing beautiful harmonies with Simpson.
It's a really pretty song we're not ashamed to like. And we think it will do very well for Asslee on radio.

Should've given the song to Avril she would do a much better job than both Avril record label clones, if Timbaland can't make you a hit it's over.
the song is good. it might make it, but her and her sis are just not likable anymore.

I'm not usually a nasty bitch or a very harsh critic. But both of these songs were very middle-grade.
Outta My Head sounds like an old 1980's track by Banana Rama….or The Bangles…possibly even a Cindi Lauper failed single. In reality, the song would actually be great for the 80's…. but it's 2008… lets lose the acid washed ripped jeans and hoop earrings, sweetie.
and TIMBALAND….take your name out from under the "produced by" section in the song's credits immeeeediately. i almost liked you before. tisk tisk.
Little Miss Obsessive…..sounds like an emo couple took a playskool tape recorder into their garage and made a song for WHEN they break up…so they can be prepared and listen to it separately as they slit their wrists the incorrect way. Its down the road not across the street, you two.
I almost had hope…because the track is hot…but then the slightly off-pitch and uncollected "WOH OHH, WOH OHH" comes in and slaps you in the face. and although Ashlee has a certain cool & flat sound to her voice in this song….shes basically a studio creation.

I'm sick of these formula songs. You can lay the Veronica's "4 ever" and Pinks "You and ur hand" right over the top and they would match pretty perfectly. 'Never Again' is so a much better than this craaaaaap. And although "outta my head" is rather catchy, the video is a shameless Gwen "what you waiting for" rip off. Get an idea tweens. And Timbalind? talk about over exposed. he may just go the way of Stock Aitken and Waterman of the 80's.

I really like this song for some reason. I mean, yeah it's not the best vocals I've ever heard and the lyrics are kinda eh, but hey, it's better than some of the other stuff that's on the radio right now. Her and Tom's voices blend together really well and make this song work.
