Ashlee Simpson's Timbaland-produced single Outta My Head failed to catch on at radio, so they're going a different route.
The singer's record label ditched Head and is rush-releasing new single Lil' Miss Obsessive.
This song has her boyfriend Pete Wentz's fingerprints all over it! And it's much much better. It feels more organic.
A power pop/rock anthem, the song features Tom from Plain White Ts singing beautiful harmonies with Simpson.
It's a really pretty song we're not ashamed to like. And we think it will do very well for Asslee on radio.

this songs actually really cute…i did kind of like outta my head…but that video was fucking awful
i actually like this song…i HATE it when i actually like songs that are by embarrassing artists such as ashlee simpson. well i guess since tom's in it, ashlee didn't write the lyrics and had absolutely nothing to do with the arrangement and production i can feel better about listening to it.
i think it's funny how this girl has gone thru so many "stages"…first she tried to be innocent and cute on 7th heaven…then randomly she dies her hair black and tries to be punk-rock…THEN all of a sudden she gets plastic surgery and tries to one-up her older sister looking like the typical glammed up hollywood blonde and she looked pretty for 2.2 seconds before she entered her next phase…now she's turned into a mary kate olsen clone, trying to look heroin chic and dirty…while i can stand this song i would never admit it to people bc it's by ashlee fucking simpson.
seriously…this is terrible. i can't even believe i listened to a minute of it. it's unbelievably bland. granted, music that gets radio play is bad, but i don't even think this could.
why doesn't she just give up? bad voice, bad music, bad lyrics.

it was kinda bland. I played it while reading other stories on here and it's nothing special. Although, ASSlee's music never really is.

We just saw her perform tonight in Chicago at the Underground. She was TERRIBLE. Performed three songs and was done. The audience left during the performance. It was shameful and a train wreck.

I TOTALLY saw this coming. I noticed that I didn't hear "Outta My Head" even once on the radio. I liked that song a LOT. It reeked a little of desperation, sure… but it was a great idea. This also has the "desperate" feel, and while I like the concept of the song… I can't help but wish there was a better songwriter behind it. The melody was lacking.

Where are the harmonies then? I hear two mediocre voices singing in unison, but no harmony. But then, I only got about halfway through the song because I got bored. Kelly Clarkson's Never Again is far better. And I liked Ashlee's "this is me" album so i'm not being biased because of liking one girl but not the other. This sucks.

It's ok, no hooks thoug. i agree Ashlee doesn;t even come CLOSE to kelly clarkson! She has such a powerful voice and great range! My December was a really good album and it showed that she was a true artist not some commercial robot like the Simpsons.
