I do not understand the what being Hispanic, Black or White has to do with Whoopi or Brad Renfro not being remembered as a host or in the memorial? You are probably the same person who left that beautiful message (#2-4) or Hatred above. I'm truly discussed by you as a Human Being. I'm was raised in the ghetto with Hispanics and Blacks and taught by a variety of teachers. I had one teacher who taught history (who was a white Male). He would start Black History month in January, because he wanted to touch on everything and make sure we got it right. I learned alot in that class. Especially when Whoopi made a mistake and said " Blacks were the last to vote" which is false that were second (Black Males could vote) years later it went to women. Anyways, If I did not pay attention to a White Male teacher talking about how things were back in the day. I would be stupid enough to believe Whoopi's comment and what people in the media say everyday.

FOUR TIMES. thats not ok to leave her out. she was a great host too. so that was some bullshit they left her out. but even so, she doesnt need to oscars. the oscars suck! i'm never watching it again after they didnt give that award to cate blanchett.
It's a shame they didn't include her with the hosts. They did include her when they showed the montage of best actress winners, however.

I'm not really a fan of the View anymore but I watched this clip and I have to say it changed my mind just a little. It is easy to forget about Whoopi Goldberg and all of her achievements over time but when they started listing all of her awards and the records she holds for the Oscars it really did upset me that they did not give her more of a tribute. It was also very touching to see her reaction. You could tell she was very moved by her friends disgust and astonishment over her absense and her reaction choked me up a little bit. Kudos to the girls of the View for being such great friends & to Whoopi for all she has done in her life!
I am glad that the ratings sucked. They are so wrong in how they handled everything this year. Snubbing Whoopie, Whoopie of all people. No amount of apologies can fix that. That was a HUGE slap in her face and so uncalled for. Was she cut out because there wasn't enough alloted time just like Renfro. What a bunch of PUKES. This is ridiculous, she was shown in the montage of Supporting Actress Oscar WINNERS, which in my humble opinion is far more significant than hosting duties. No offense Jon, you did an amazing job, but I'm sure your Emmy wins rate higher in memorable moments than hosting the Oscars.
I highly doubt it was intentional at all. The montage people are all probably 22 years old and don't evenremember, or care, who hosted what. Seriously.

I love Whoopi. I admit, I wasn't excited when she was picked to join the show, but I really do like her very much now. Her opinions are varied and surprising. She isn't cookie cutter and predictable, like I had assumed. Sad for her that they left her out. Not fair to Whoopi.
If that's the case she should get mad at Barbara Walters who chose even Lisa Ling over a Puerto Rican, but that's not our fault.
