hahahahahahaha, bless her ickle cotton socks!! most of it was alright but the high notes near the end were awful!! hahaha, she still did a better job than I would anyday though hehehe! She's brill now, I love riri!!

YIKES! that was painful towards the end. Now we know why her songs don't have that much vocal range.
This just shows that she has been marketed really well. She can't sing very well, but as a "package," or overall presentation (good looks, an exotic background, an original style, girlish voice), she just works as a moneymaking machine. That's what the music industry is all about anyway. It's like Britney, Miley, etc, they're all projects that will end once they are no longer able to produce money or catch the intrigue of the masses. They just gave her catchy songs to sing within her range, tweaked the faults of her voice in the studio, and put pretty make-up and clothes on her.
i love her. everyone has to start somewhere, and her voice has improved a lot since she was in high school. i like her image and hopefully she won't change it like all other young starlets do.

Rihanna may not be vocally talented but she is an entertainer, so I guess that she is talented in something. And saying that Mariah Carey isn't talented is just talking stupid. that was the worst thing ever. i can't believe she made it in the industry with a voice like that! it's not that the fact she doesn't have the vocal range of mariah that made this performance so awful, it's her stupid annoying voice which was soooooo off key and out of tune… ughhh… she bugs me, her face bugs me, her voice bugs me.

Ummm the myth of Mariah's vocal range has been debunked by snopes as well as other places. Why do so many people keep buying her PR? She does NOT have an 8 or 7 or 6 octave range( almost impossible for a human and especially a woman). Celine Dion has more octave range than Mariah( but doesn't brag) and Madonna is the most successful female, by far, than Mariah( who isn't even 2nd to her).

There was nothing even remotely special about that performance that would make her a star, except for the fact that she is beautiful and just has that"It" factor. Terrible singing, but she puts out great dance songs. Just like Britney, one of the least talented people, but she puts out the best, most catchy tunes.
