First of all, this bitch couldn't sing to save her life. She only got a contract based on her looks. I'll give her that, she's got a gorgeous body and a beautiful face. That's about as far as it goes. She can't sing for shit… that was horrific to listen to. My ears are bleeding. As Simon from American Idol would say, "what in the bloody hell was that?"….

UGH! AWFUL!!!…a great example of how "artists" on the radio today are talentless..its all looks and dance ability. Besides that…how did this girl become famous? Certainly not for her voice or singing ability.
I really don't like her voice AT ALL. It's just painful. Mariah belts out those tunes effortlessly whereas Rihanna appears to be struggling and it makes it really painful to listen to. She looks as good as always though!
That song was butchered to the shithouse! I hate saying that becuase i LOVE her album, but then it makes me think how good those producer people are at faking it! Terrible unfortunately
Now that my ears have stopped bleeding I can comment to say how horrendous that was. This is not someone who deserves a grammy…she doesn't sound much different compared to last week's awards show.

Seriously, I like Rihanna's record and all-it's a fun listen-but she's getting waaaaaay too much praise. She's still got to prove herself, and all the constant compliments are only going to make her lazy-I'll bet her next record will turn out to be crap. Getting back to the video above-wow, that made me lose some respect for her. She seems like a lot of those girls you knew in high school who weren't as good as they thought they were. I now have the impression that she pushed to find someone to take her on, they trained her heavily, and now she has turned into this manufactured artist.

Coming from a RiRi fan I can honestly say that my hidden speculations of her have been brought to light with this clip. I love her and love her music but something inside me who loves singers knew she couldn't really sing… This made me fess up and faces me with the realization that she is digitally produced.
She could never sing live at any of her performances and if I'm not to blatantly to point out I compare her to Britney Spears but atleast now I see Britney gave us show and dance… she barely does that…
She has a pressence and a body with beauty but without the voice? I'm sorry but I lost all respect for her and hope she'll come forth and prove me wrong.

It's not even that bad - as in, she hasn't improved that much. I really don't see why she 's so big, her voice is annoying to listen to, and her success is due to image, clever styling and video clips. If it wasn't for that, she'd be just another wannabe out there.

Wow… what an amazingly sucky performance… Completely flat, way nasally, and I really doubt she hit one single note in the whole song, not to mention the runs sucked, but i didn't make it past the fist few bars before my ears started bleeding so I could be wrong. Rihanna just lost a fan… and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Thats was so awful! So off key! It makes me sick to think that she got a record deal when she really can't sing well. She is beautiful but that doesn't make you a singer. come on guys, give her a break, the girl sounds pretty good trying to tackle a mariah ballad at 14 or 15 years old. She was just a baby then, her voice has certainly matured beautifully, and she always sings live, which is a lot more than you can say for most of the pop acts out right now.
