Good for her. I really don't want to hear uninformed celebrities pontificating about politics. It'd be different if they were well-versed on the issues but most aren't. Yet still scream their viewpoints at the top of their lungs.

Right on, Lala. It's okay to not want to argue politics with everyone who comes along, and it's good to avoid being preachy. But to not "do politics" is a big problem. Our founding fathers gave us our democracy, but whether or not we could "keep it" (Ben Franklin) was up to us. If we don't get educated, if we don't vote, if we don't do everything in our power to pursue truth, then we don't deserve democracy or freedom. Then we're just some well-oiled pleasure-seeking fools who don't care about life, or people. As for me, I'll be involved, I'll be upset and annoyed, and I'll try to make the world a better place.

I am not a K. Hiegl fan, but she didn't say that she doesn't vote. What I take from that comment is that she doesn't want to make any political statements or endorse a candidate. Nothing wrong with that at all!!! Perhaps, she also understands that most people do not care for whom celebs are voting and are capable of making their own decisions.

Well she has every right to say that. If a person does not know much about politics or does not WANT to know about politics its her own choice. It is therefore the duty of the politicians to engage the people and people like that to make them change their minds but in a measured way.
