No One Is Watching TV - Spending More Time On The Internet!!!

With just a few days left in February for sweeps, most networks are finding it hard to keep their ratings and viewership up.
Surprisingly, though, Fox is expected to win in the ratings with a towering 6.9 average among key adults in the age 18-49 demographic. This is a huge jump at 41% higher than last year. Fox is averaging an estimated 17.8 million viewers.
What's been helping Fox this year? Well, having the most watched Super Bowl in 8 years didn't hurt, with 97.5 million viewers. American Idol is also helping by averaging 27.6 million viewers.

ABC is in second place and down 21%.

If I do watch any TV (Jericho, Terminator,2 & 1/2 men, American Dad) I use my DVR. I hate loud ass commercials. Has anyone really bought a car based on their ads and them even being constant. Look at every town with mass amounts of car lots, new and used, all filled. Something is fucked with our country to have jobs just pouring out tons of cars not too many people can afford or care to buy. Jobs, just for jobs. A few get rich while being comfortable with their old production lines catered to mostly inefficient designs. We need to build more constructive things based on the changing times and our noble concerns, like windmills/generators, biological fuel sources and a recirculating enclosed exhaust system.

I for one used to watch tv about maybe 6 hours / week NOW, I sometimes turn it on to watch the news, or those 2 British ladies that clean people's houses. other than that, tv has become so disappointing and it is not just because of the writers strike, it was like that before the strike. I for one, am not interested any more…

Wow this is prolly one of the best things to happen to america in awhile (mainly 8 yrs !) . Seriously without the bs of tv totally domanating ppls lives they can get heathier and get involved with the fuck up ness of the world now . We been stupid zombies for long enough with the never ending stream of shows that keep going in circles . So take this time to be with ur family and shit . The internet roxs ! Oh and search in google tv links cc and it will lead u the best site ever . It has links to the newest movies and a ton of episodes on it . I love it ! So screw tv and the fucking commercials !

2. With TV, people only the have the option of watching boring, un-entertaining same-old, same-old useless sleep-inducing crap. Limited and uninteresting.

3. At least on the internet a person can control the amount of stupidty they want to see.. (on the TV you get it on every station). Rather than being subjected to it, they can avoid it and never have to come across it at all. There is way more variety and possibilities of all sorts of different kinds of entertainment which are LIMITLESS on the internet.

Someone who's looking for more than idiocracy will most certainly turn off that selected tv program crap and find they can get better more varied, pleasures elsewhere.

Lastly, TV is soooooooo last century!! Unless THEY can come up with better programming (which I'm thinking they are incapable of…….) then people are going to stop watching.

The only use the TV screen has for me is to watch rented movies and Turner Classic movies. The only thing I watched on TV was the Oscars.
Everything else is geared to people with IQ below 50, cheap, gross, stupid plots, with endless commercials. It just sucks!

The problem is not the programming - it's all the moronic youth out there today who have the attention span of a gnat! They prefer internet videos because they're short and lacking in story. Thanks to the internet and cell phones, young folks are used to getting exactly what they want right away and as a result, their brains are evolving to the point where they can't focus on anything for longer than 5 mintues! pathetic!!!

The only television show I watch religiously is The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Not a word of a lie, the man is delightful and his show is fantastic. And, I think CBS spends about 10 bucks a week producing it.
I hardly ever watcvh TV any more. In fact, I haven't watched any TV at all in like 3 weeks. Maybe if the networks would put someting on other than CRAP to watch, and show less annoying commercials crammed into every two minutes of it, then I'd bother to tune in.
Frankly, I'm SICK of advertising. I only watch DVDs to avoid having to look at commercials.

Well you can watch TV on the internet.. I live in Denmark so all the american shows I want to watch aren't on, but at the moment do I only watch Skins (I know it is not american but britsh)
Besides the internet, I work, work out, and sleep as much I can. That about sums it up. TV is last on my list. It's sooooo boring.
