haven't seen it in holland or germany, must be a french thing, not european!
We had belgium exchange students 2 months ago, and when we took them to clubs/bars, THEY DANCED LIKE THIS! they also did 'jumpstyle'… look it up. On saturday we're going to belgium for a week for work experience. i'm dreading going clubbing as everyone (they told us), EVERYONE, dances like this… Hellllllp!!!!!!!!
i found out about this from some french kids that i met. it's been around for a while in france though. i personally think it's amazing.
people have a point: this nation has been "cranking that soulja boy" and DON'T tell me that's more sophisticated.

Yes, it's very gay. Yes, it's already old. Yes, it's all over the place and everyone does the same nostalgic sped up Vogue poses and wears 80s clothes and has Euro-mullets. I LOVE IT! This is def a French trend! Except it's not new… I've been living in Paris since Aug and it's been around since AT LEAST then. You go to the clubs and see these kids trying to copy this look/dance/style. Even better are when it happends in a metro car…hahha.

I live in French Switzerland and this video is on RE-PEAT all day on the mcm Channel. The dance is called Tektonik, and it started in Paris like 5-7 years ago, but is just becoming popular like crazy here. Yelle has some tektonik dancers too…

techtonik is so over. everyone does it now; at trocadero for money, in the middle of crosswalks, even 5 year olds are doing it. totally a french thing that needs to die. one more wannabe techtonik guy and i'm going to scream.

I saw this when visiting Paris last month - kids in groups flinging about. Good entertainment, but when you are standing at a distance and can't hear the music, it looks hilarious. The kids we saw had on black/white only (as a general rule). They were quite serious - and silllyyy!
