Stripper turned Oscar winner Diablo Cody has a lot on her plate these days…
She's working with Steven Spielberg on the show The United States of Tara for Showtime, sorting out a horror film (which will be produced by Juno director Jason Reitman), and is contributing to a pop-culture column in Entertainment Weekly.
Devilish Diablo works hard for her money, honey!
Now, Cody's adding one more thing to her to-do list…a still untitled memoir about her climb to the top of the Hollywood food chain due out in 2009.
A rep for the publisher, Gotham, says, "It's about a geeky girl from the Midwest who moves to Hollywood and her adventures writing screenplays."
And there should be lots of tits and ass!
This will be Cody's second trip down memoir lane. Her first was Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper.
Maybe the tatted up writer shouldn't wait so long to get that book out. Lots of people have been pouring the haterade on her!

I just read her book a few weeks ago..had no idea this was her! She isn't as ugly as she sounds in the book, but she says and does some really disgusting, gross things in the book. She even worked as a girl in a XXX store where u go in the booth and watch her thru a window. Some of the stories she told in the book were so nasty I couldn't even read them.

Before Juno, she was a writer at Citypages (similar puplication to the Village Voice, and also owned my the same publishing company). She's incredibly talented and an excellent writer. And for all you haters about the stripping thing: She did it to WRITE A BOOK! If you read the book (Candy Girl) you'd understand that. She didn't become a stripper because she had some deep-seeded child abuse, she did it because she thought it would be funny and interesting. The book is hilarious and well written, not to mention insightful. Don't hate on the working girls. Those bitches work hard for their money. If you are so disgusted by it, then don't LOOK AT IT. About 500 years ago, people were not allowed to ever move up from their place in life. If they were born a shitty pauper, or were ever some kind of sex worker, they would never be able to hope of doing anything inspirational, like writing a book, or becoming wealthy. Back then, it was the rich, intellectual aristocracy that bashed these people and wouldn't let them succeed. Nowadays, the intellectual upper class appreciate these people and allow them to succeed, and it's the lower classes who bash these people, simply because they are pathetic and unhappy with their own place in life.
