Yes, it is okay to be gay. People who are queer can have perfectly healthy relationships, have great jobs, be wonderful people, and be contributing members of culture and society. To believe anything else is not only foolhardy, it is flat-out ignorant. Please educate yourself and maybe actually try to talk to a queer person.

Did the victim ask him to be his valentine to aggrivate him? Not making killing him right but just asking. The kid is wrong for killing and will pay for that. I have never heard Ellen talk about her own homosexuality, I think that it is profound that she said, "I am not a second class citizen." She's right-being gay is not bad. I don't care who you fall in love with, and for the many homophobes out there, if someone who is gay says they are interested in you, just say no thank you. Killing someone over their sexuality is horrific. This child is dead, and for what? Another child will spend a good portion of their lives in prison and may never get out of the judicial system, and for what?

Doesnt matter why it happened it matters that it DID happen. Doesnt matter if you are gay, black, fat, muslim……… it matters that you are discriminated against.
ADULTS (mainly parents) are the ones responsible for teaching right and wrong. It does start at home.
People dont chose to be gay ( my oldest child is gay, he told us the day he turned 21…he had struggled for 6 years with himself prior to telling us. He knew we would accept him no matter what he was, it was the other people that he was worried about). Many fat people dont chose to be fat, people dont chose what race they are. The only thing here that people truly do have a choice over is religion. It isnt the average catholic, muslim, jew, protestant… that causes disgrace for a religion, it is the fanatics that USE religion to justify their cause and or actions.

as far as the murder of that little boy goes, no one should ever under any circumstances be murdered and have their life taken from them by another human being. no matter what ellen or anyone else says though,
being gay is a sin. however, people should still "love the sinner, but hate the sin". hating the sin has NOTHING to do with hating the person. we should still love people as the human beings they are, however, we do NOT have to support their sin in their life-style. again, it is horrific that that little boy was killed though.
We think that we as a society have changed so much. We haven't. We still look down on anybody that different from us in any way. It is terrible and sad that something like this happens.
