Pregnant woman uses train toilet, baby slips out
A newborn baby girl survived an ignoble birth after slipping down the toilet bowl of a moving Indian train onto the tracks when a pregnant woman unexpectedly gave birth while relieving herself on Tuesday.
"My delivery was so sudden," said the Bhuri Kalbi, the mother of the infant, born two months prematurely. "I did not even realize that my child had slipped from the hole in the toilet."
Kalbi, a 33-year-old woman from a village in Rajasthan, fainted on the toilet seat after the birth for a few minutes before waking up and alerting her family.
"They stopped the train and ran on the tracks to find the baby," she said, speaking from her hospital bed in the western city of Ahmedabad.
Railway staff at a nearby station were alerted and soon found the newborn girl lying uninjured on pebbles by the track. She is now in intensive care because of her premature birth, doctors said.
Most toilets on Indian trains are filthy chutes emptying directly onto the tracks.

How long does it take a black lady to shit?
9 months.
How long does it take a black lady to shit?
9 months.
Re: HARMONY – the cord is attached to the placenta, which obviously came out right after baby did.
yer heard about this…as for not feeling it etc tha lady was only 7months so the babe was 2months premmie (therefore small) and the lady went into labour and fainted (thus not awake for the labour). I do wander about the placenta (to wich the umbilical cord is attached) though i presume that would of been pulled from her when the baby slipped out
what a lucky little baby
Is this even possible?
Like what happened to the umbilical cord?
Re: Jones – PIG! People like you are whats wrong with society.
Can you imagine?! I would be so terrified. Glad she's okay.
got this site is full of ignorant dipshits who never passed highschool biology.
1. umbilical chord is attatched to the PLACENTA… wich comes out sometimes with the baby!
2. She Passed out after the birth so she had no idea what was going on and didnt recognize she gave birth right away
3. If you have a second pregnancy, your birth canal is pretty much already prepped ….
4. If you werent there, you cant say wether this did or did not actually happen. so dont go throwing around your ignorant ideas.
Cal…a microbiology student
first
Does that mean that everyone's shit is just dropped on the ground out of these trains????
That's kind of sick by itself.
Re: sara alexis –
The umbilical cord attaches to a baby in it's belly, the other end is attached to the placenta which is attached to the uterine wall. When a woman gives birth, she is not just delivering the baby, but also all the stuff the baby lived in and the lining. The baby was attached to the umbilical cord, which was still attached to the uterine lining, which since this occurred on a train where the suction from this hole on the toilet was probably strong, it had a vacuum-like effect from the baby's weight once she had emerged and just sucked her and the afterbirth out.
Therefore, the baby was probably still attached to the umbilical cord.
O poor baby!
That is fucking insane that poor little baby girl did that mother even WASH her fucking hands when they took this picture!???????????????????
WTF? Seriously WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? How can soooo many people be soooo stupid? SHE WOULD OF FELT THE BABY AND THE TOILET DID NOT SUCK THE PLACENTA OUT OF HER!
Re: Geminat.com – YOu wanna name the baby Casey Jones? HILARIOUS. That totally cracked me up
oh please. thats a bunch of shit. that bitch flushed her kid on purpose and someone probably saw. indians are so nasty.
EWWWWWWWWWWWW !
omg
FREEDOM AND OR CLEAN TRAIN LOOS JUST AINT FREE.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
damn that was funny, thank you.
Squat toilets on Indian trains are a damn sight cleaner than the bathroom
of your average domestic US flight. But face it: any toilet is by definition a filthy chute: it's a tube and we shit in it.
I gotta say, when I gave birth to my daughter I thought I just needed to use the restroom…I didn't even realize I was in labor until a few minutes before I actually had her. Luckily I was not on an Indian train…
ALSO, the unbilical cord is connected to the placenta, NOT the mother. Thus, it probably came out right after the baby did.
That so weird I would have never thought that could happen I need to be careful im 5 months preg. So and I also love ur show
I AM SO HAPPY AND GLAD FOR THE BABY AND THE FAMILY THAT THE BABY WASN'T HURT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE UMBILICAL COR THOUGH. BEFORE VOTING FOR PRESIDENT WATCH BRAINWASHER (ABOUT OBAMA) ON YOUTUBE . COM !
thats really weird… that woman must have been pushing really hard!
This is a crazy story did you hear about it
Re: Megan –
dumbass india is also a capitalist city
O me o my!!
Thank Goodness the babe is alright!
Re: VanessaLutz –
OMG you people are so ignorant it makes me sick !
Please go back to school if you did not or at least try to learn what's going on in the real world….get a brain !!!!
this is RETARTED!! ive had a kid already and I know and even women who haven't had kids, know that when you're about to give birth your Uterus contract and it HURTS LIKE HELL! unless she was taking a shit and didn't even think that they were contractions and thought they were SHIT-TRACTIONS… LOOOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bottom line is, she is stupid and im sure she meant to do that, IE. Umbelical cord!
hey idiots, the umbilical cord is connected to the placenta, which also gets released.
retards
what the hell happened to her placenta and cord? she would have bled out had it detached before the birth……….that is crazy
Thank God the baby is okay!
Hey! Take a look at the CNN website.
They talk about it and that story raise lots lots of questions…
The woman is not "clear"!
And what about her cross eyed?… Trust me, she's GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!!!! ahah!
Re: sel –
Maybe she was constipate for a while….
ahah!
yes seriously How bout the UmbiLical Cord? OH and the contractions Prior wasn't a sign? Genious Man..and that's sick about the toilets
hang on a sec, did the baby not get run over?!
and what about the umbilical cord??????
how did a baby just slip out !
thats absolutely crazy.
she must have a loose hole!
… she confused constipation with birth pangs?
No way u can confuse them!!! Trust me!!!
NO WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
She's lying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY! I said!!!
Re: sel –
Maybe she was constipateD for a while….
ahah!
Good question #1!! That's a major dude, if you are pushing so hard that you pop out the baby and snap the umbilical cord. Freakin' foreigners!
the umbilical cord is actually attached to the placenta, not the mother, duh!
how loose can she be?
I'm sure, she thought the baby girl was dead so she just called people, playing the "good mother".
She must have been really disappointed when she saw the girl was alive.
She's ALIVE… ALIVEEEEEE!!!!
first of all my water didn't break, the midwife did it. I did quite a few pushes, some on the toilet b/c it was necessary. when my son did come out. I have to admit I didn't really feel it. I was like, OK. wow. did she pull it out for me?
maybe the train was traveling slowly and the baby was "placed" on the track with the umbilical cord for support then "cut" as the train pulled away.
so this story seems plausible. maybe wishful thinking on my part.
Let me get this straight??? Do they really just let all the shit go onto the railroad tracks???? Yuck. That can't be pretty. Well, thankfully, the baby was ok. Who knew you could accidently give birth while taking a shit… weird.
you guys are stupid the umbilical cord isnt attached to the mom its attached to the placenta which comes out too.. its not like they snip a cord and then stuff it back in there and wiat til she gets preggers again… but yah.. CRAZY! how did it not get hurt on the tracks though? thats fucked
this seems incredible. what happened to the umbilical cord? how did it get caught off?
there is no way that could possible happen..NO WAY.. I've had two kids and it is NO where near as easy as accidently falling out..Its TONS of pushing/etc/etc….
Awwwww what a sweet little babe. Thanks goodness she's ok !
actually .. the same thing happened to 2 ppl i know.. and this was in canada. they went to the bathroom.. and the baby slipped out into the toilet. unfortunately the baby didn't survive. but this is true, it happens. and i'm guessing that the umbilical cord snaps out?
omg, yeah what about the umbilical cord
Thats crazy
Re: Kay – they were NOT middle eastern. they were indian .. which is SOUTH ASIAN
Re: sarah – that cord is not attached to the mother .. its attaches to the planctea or something. so when the mother gave birth .. the plactea thing came out as well.. and yepp she didnt realize because the baby was premature and the mother fainted.
If you deliver the fetus and placenta all at the same time, the cord is still attached to the baby. However, the placenta is attached at the same time to. This is seen sometimes in women who deliver premature. One push and everything comes out.
I'm sorry but, babies just DON'T "SLIP OUT"… What a buncha BS..
india is shitty.. i know ive been there..
Yea whats up the cord , I guess the whole placenta flew down the chute too ? LOL
The umbilical cord is attached to the placenta which stays in usually after birth and you deliver it as you would a baby or it comes right out, but thats where the cord is attached to and they cut it, then a few mins later you deliver the placenta or is just slides out or something…with her she must of just lost it all, I can not believe she just peed and had a baby and didnt know it, thats a bit far fetched
WOW!!!!!!!!! That's crazy and I hope that baby is ok. I just don't understand how she couldn't feel that the baby was coming out and what happen to the umbilical cord? Did it broke, because I don't think it's suppose to do that? That's weird, but like I say I hope the baby is ok.
wow. like, wow. how the hell does a baby just slip out? like, what the hell?
Wow that's really crazy. Thank god the baby is ok
WELL, UM… ISN'T THERE A CHORD THINGY COMING FROM THE MOM TO THE BABY'S BELLY BUTTON?? SOMETHING SMELLS LIKE BOLOGNA…
"Passed out afterwards so she didn't know what happened" - BULLPOOP. BULLPOOP X GOOGLE. Seriously, you don't just "pssssssssssssssssssssss - POP! Oops, baby came out!" NO, there are something called CONTRACTIONS and the WATER BREAKING. Babies don't come out without some sort of SIGN such as those two. And babies don't come out of the same hole as your piss and crap, so I'm sure she woulda been able to tell the difference, unless she's THAT STUPID or she didn't want it in the first place and then changed her mind!
That's some crazy shit. At least the babys okay
Female infanticide is epidemic in Gujarat state. You can be sure that if she had given birth to a boy, the baby would never have "accidently slipped" down the toilet hole to the tracks. Now her and her family's hope will be to profit financially from this media attention.
she was taking a poo poo but it was da baby baby
I don't believe it all because the umbilical cord would be intact.
However, the toilet/train situation I do believe. What most of us folks over here don't realize is that things are often so poor over there that people will go to the train tracks to do their Morning Glory in the morning. We're so very spoiled over here that we don't realize how other countries (and sometimes OUR VERY OWN) live in such impoverished circumstances.
Oops now I see the placenta/umb.cord connection. OK, then I totally believe it. AND the railroad toilet issue.
Now, let's see if they let her live because she's a baby girl.
The child survived, we shouldn't be asking ourselves how-we should acknowledge the fact that the newborn is healthy and unharmed. That is all that matters.
No, the umbilical cord is attached to the placenta, that of which the mother delivers-having passed out, she was clearly unaware.
Oh hellz to the no!
Re: snitchnogger – snitchnogger your an ass poor babyglad it's o.k. though
Oh shiz!
Amazing the baby survived.
Perez you fatt ass, you honestly don't blieve that ?, DO YOU?
Any baby born into this world has an umbilical cord, I don't know what planet she's from, but no human gives birth that way, unless she cut the cord herself. IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO STOP READING NATIONAL ENQUIRER!
Re: Megan – Um, how stupid are you? India is a capatilist society. Dumbass.
The best part about those Indian trains is that all sorts of painful debris flies up and hits you in the wazzoo as the train flies down the tracks. Nothing like a giant chunk of gravel, thrown up by a 60mph train, to make you clench.
this is so sad i feel so happy for the woman that the baby survived she's very lucky im happy for her but the shouldnt dump that pee and poop on the tracks
For all you racist twits screeching about blacks and middle easterners, the woman was from India. Look on a map. It's the country marked "India."
Most likely the woman dilated to 10 without labor or contractions, causing the baby to pass without the mom suffering through labor. Premature dilation can, untreated, cause miscarriage in earlier stage pregnancy. In the West the cervix can actually be sewn shut (ouch) when mom is dilating prematurely.
wtf? i stil dnt get it. the fact that shes ok is like a fucking miracle. god bless them…nd like evryone else the umbilical chord? how is that even possible?
Re: sara alexis – yea…WTF
I know.. What about the umbilical cord? It doesn't make much sense? How do u not know a baby is coming out of you?
Re: snitchnogger – your fuckin rude. a baby is a baby, no matter what color it is. i wonder if someone said" its just a white baby, who cares.. let him die " the day you were born. i bet your parents are proud of you.
what did she wipe with?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Look at the pic of the mom on the bbc news site. She looks completely starved. Their article says "Indian train toilets are notoriously unhygienic.
Users are typically required to stand or squat over a filthy chute that channels the effluent straight onto the tracks." Squatting, unhealthy, weakend mom, underweight baby, premature dilation, a recipe for disaster. Mom's lucky she didn't bleed to death. And for those of you harping about the cord, good God women learn something about your own bodies! The cord is attached to the placenta, not a chain imbedded in the mother.
ewwwwwwwwwwwww
thankfully the baby is ok
I don't get it either…what happened with the umbilical cord?? Anyone?
come onn wat a whoree !!! poor baby !!
who does that ??!!
don't know, supposedly another Indian woman gave birth in the train toilet 2 weeks ago. some woman in china did it in dec. and flushed the baby. I also remember reading about another baby on the track about 3,4 months ago. Either there is a big problem with woman in the far east knowing when they are in labor or this is all an urban legend bs
This has to be a joke…the umbilical cord is the first thing that came to mind. Something doesn't add up!
LOOSE GOOSE! WTF how does your baby just slip out? I am utterly amazed by this.
Bull fukin shit. Not only do you 'kinda' know when you've just given birth…. but when you're indian and from a race that despises girls, scuse me if I can't help but think this bitch thought of a convenient way to 'dispose' of her baby girl. And I'm sure she knew what she was having. Races that that do not want girls always do.
I'm so glad the baby's ok.
OMG. that is a miracle baby
:]]
Thank God the baby is ok.. I can't understand how she didn't know she was in labor. IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY H-U-R-T-S!!!!!!
Re: YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME XOXO –
seriously
Re: ……… – Hisssssing queen. Scary. Anyway. If you can hiss out your babies with one or two squirts then goody for you. But the VAST majority of women, even with a small baby, are going to feel it………..and they just somehow know that they have just given birth. Even without much pain you should feel an especially HUGE pressure worse than taking a titanic shit. Even men know when they've taken an especially huge dump and love to check and pat them selfs on the back. But anyone who can squirt out a baby, wipe their ass and walk away saying " I think I may have flushed a baby down the toilet!" Sorry. You're either mentally retarded or you don't want the baby.
She was probably going number 2… thinking she was pushing out some doo doo, not a kid.
Weird.
Re: cal – Thank you Cal, although the people making the stupid comments aren't intelligent enough to read your thoughtful post, so don't even sweat the idiots my friend!
Re: Janice – I am an ER Nurse, I see babies born all of the time, with one push (lucky women) placenta, cord, baby and all. If a baby is premature and small, it is quite easy to deliver with only straining. The women's placenta was probably detatching from the uterine wall, and that is why she delivered early. She is lucky she did not bleed to death.
