The Crocodile Hunter's father, Bob Irwin, has resigned from the zoo he helped to build over 36 years ago!
Why'd he quit????
There's been major dramz with Steve Irwin's widow, Terri!
Rumours of an Irwin family feud have been circulating since January and volunteers and a disgruntled employee have recently claimed staff were upset that Poppa Bob had been banned from the Australia Zoo after an argument with Terri.
The elder Irwin was reportedly upset with Terri Irwin over treatment of staff, management of Wildlife Warriors and the commercial direction of the world-famous attraction.
Bob has vowed to keep his son's dream alive at a new property he has bought near Kingaroy, northwest of Brisbane.
In his resignation letter, Poppa Irwin thanks zoo staff, Animal Hospital workers, Wildlife Warriors and "all Steve's friends out there", but makes no reference to Terri or her contribution to his son's conservation empire or to the raising of his grandchildren, Bindi and Bob.
Terri Irwin has refused to comment on Bob's departure.

If this is true Terri should be ashamed of herself! Bob and Lynn were the ones who started that Zoo and past it onto Steve. She should have more respect for Bob than to ban him from the zoo he started!!
I think the only thing that's gonna come out of this is people will stop visiting the zoo. I think people are more inclined to support Bob than Terri.
I only live an hour away from the zoo and I love it there. If this is actually true they will have lost me a customer.

Between you and me, I can't STAND this woman. She comes through so fake to me. Her marked, "cute" speech, her stories about how Steve adored her. I am thinking Steve liked to flirt with girls his age. How old is this woman, anyway? About 64? I don't like her at all.
I don't like the way Steve's little girl Bindi is being pushed into showbiz. And when she's on talk shows, and performing songs with backup dancers, and selling dolls in her image–that's showbiz, and aiming for celebrity.
It's not healthy for a child. Bindi may SAY she likes it, because kids that age say what they think their parents want to hear. Let the girl stay at home, live a normal life. If she likes to perform, let her do little shows for kids at the zoo. What her mom's doing with her now is very destructive and not in her daughter's best interests. It's sick.

the whole bindi thing is a tragedy in the making. i've seen the kid in interviews, and she has an air of self importance that will likely turn to arrogance and a sense of entitlement in the near future. her childhood has ended, and one only needs to look at the olsen twins to see what child celebrity leads to.
if this mother truly cared for her daughter, she'd pull her out of the world spotlight and quietly educate her in australia. instead, she pushes the kid forward.

This completely breaks my heart. Steve would be sooo upset if he he were alive to see such conflict between his wife and his only living parent, both of whom he adored. One of the two of them needs to give in and resolve this dispute for the sake of 1) the kids 2)Steve and 3)his legacy. And please stop saying negative things about Terri. Her heart was shattered when Steve died and her smiley happy face is a mask for the pain. Bindi has been taught to do the same. Isn't that obvious? Are they supposed to walk around crying or looking depressed while out in public a year and half after his death? Let them move on and try to be happy while still keeping his spirit alive. Yeah at Steve's funeral i was impressed with young Bindi's self-possession, but i quickly became disturbed by how public they were with their 'grief'. Besides which, what mother would cash in and have her daughter made as a doll? Who the hell would wanna buy it, anyway?? Now i just wish Terri and the kids would shut the **** up and @#@# off. Bindi had to have a tutor teach her at home because she cried uncontrollably when they sent her to "normal" school. That isn't the right way to handle that situation. Make that kid adjust to the new environment and don't pander to their whining. Bad parently 101. Also, Bindi wants to sing and dance but she has no talent in those areas. She does seem extremely phony and artificial and there is something not quite right there with her and her mom, Terri. They just don't seem real. Steve was the only real one of the bunch.
Elder Irwin needs to wake up - it's always been about money, even when Steve was alive. He was a showman and a businessman first, and a conservationist a distant second.
Interesting that he didn't have the guts to stand up for staff and the way they were being treated (all shunted onto crappy AWAs) when Steve was alive - Steve instigated it, and it's the reason he was so vocal in his support for John Howard. Business first.
