Mariah may have not had a music career before him, but she did have a life complete with friends and independence. She traded all of that for a career and became very isolated. And with her voice, she would have made it on her own without Motolla. She was only 26 when she came to her senses and divorced him. She should have taken a few years off from the biz and reconnected with her friends from her past. I think she realizes all of that now and is just bitter about it.
