So, how does Sophie Monk feel now that her former fiance, Benji Madden, is hooking up with Paris Hilton just weeks after their relationship ended???
She's "very happy" she'd like us to believe!
Monk has released a statement saying the media had it "all wrong" and denied rumours the rocker had broken off their engagement to be with Hilton.
"Let me make this as plain as possible, Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton. Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that," she said. "We both decided as adults our relationship had run its course and decided to move on. I feel no animosity toward Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment."
Translation: "I was using Benji for publicity. He was lucky enough to get my hot ass for as long as he did. Paris is a downgrade!"

Sophie is HIDEOUS. I am Australian and all the other people saying "Sophie is a huge star down here" are lying. The only reason she's "popular" down here is because New Idea and Woman's Day magazine get sick of interviewing Bert Newton!! Paris is a definite upgrade. Sophie's acting career will not go anywhere in America. As cruel as this sounds - she's just not attractive or talented enough. She will probably stay in America trying to make it for a few more years, than when it falls to shit she will come back down here with her tail between her legs like Toni Pearon (another shiteous Australian "star").

You Americans obviously don't have any idea of the character of Sophie Monk. She is very down to earth, smart and funny. She is definately not a blonde bimbo. She's known as more of a singer than an actress in her home country of Australia. I feel sorry for Benji, he'll never find another Sophie! Maybe he deserves Paris, I mean look at what his brother settled for!!
Okay. I was one of the first people to talk trash, but now people are crossing the line. You people don't even know Paris and Benji, and maybe someone, somewhere can see something positive out of this. Benji is a beautiful person, honest and respectful, a little bit shy and very insecure. He is also a loyal friend and will probably be good for her. If they stay together, I anticipate good things for Paris, the same way Nicole Richie seems to have changed for the better with the help of Joel (she was lovable before him…she still is). They are true to their family and friends and deserving of all the best life has to offer. Seriously, the people calling Benji fat and ugly need to check themselves first. We teach children that it's what's on the inside that matters, but sitting here judging a book by its cover. Love and blessings to them.
