l_ecfef5894b4ec2e5ab57813b63542c83.jpg

The Brits aren't the only ones that can shake and boogy to the treo beat.

The Booze is a mouthwatering band from Atlanta that are equal parts Winehouse and some lo-fi garage band down the street.

The Booze make soul songs with edge and melody with such titles and Heartache.

Their sound is vintage and mod, which means they're very NOW.

Enjoy the delicious Over and Over below. Then CLICK HERE to listen to some other great tunes from The Booze!

hey #91 and #93 - are you five years old? or just a compulsive liar? All of that stuff you said is bullshit. THEE CRUCIALS are great guys who make great music. I think you might be a bit jealous . . . you poor thing. you don't have to make shit up to get attention!

  9. dee says – reply to this

    109

Oh, yeah, the maverick of new young and fresh music is mario, LOL…but then your not so young anymore…and as for fresh…just ask the person who washes your dirty drawers with the brown skid marks!
Your not young anymore, Mario…how do it feel to be moving one down the line without having made your mark with anything substantive? you really are a prick, you know!

Looks like someone wants a little attention . . .you are obviously a compulsive liar. Thee Crucials are great guys who make great music. You don't have to make up bullshit to get noticed . . .unless you are five years old, which it seems you probably are. you poor thing.

    119

Clone bullshit. They're trying too hard to sound like mid-sixties garage bands, or the Kinks, or Dave Clark Five. No melody, crappy vocals, lousy instrumentals, just all-around amateur crap. PH, stop trying to pass off no-talents as the next great thing all of the time. Either you have no taste, or you're paid off.

    Man, this post is HIGH-LARIOUS.

However, I'm pretty sure if you have a flat tire some time in Little Five, one of them will magically appear, pose with his drumsticks in his back pocket, and say, "YOU LADIES NEED SOME HELP?" At which point he will make a homeless man do the deed instead.

The Booze sound like a bad version of The Strokes. The Strokes sound like bad versions of bands The Booze list as their influences. Music is evolving not for the better of mankind. Know this, the best mod bands are not in the U.S.

  52. Ken Jenkins says – reply to this

The Booze are good. Trophy Wives and Devoradora are better. Thee Crucials are the best.

  55. Atlanta bands? says – reply to this

    155

Who gives a fuck about these unknown bands? If these bands are soo incredible, why the hell didn't Perez put anything about them on the site? Think about that for a while. I'm not saying Perez's taste in music is good. I just think people on this board are just pissed because Perez did not mention your personal favorite band from Atlanta or from wherever he decides to mention. Most of the time his picks for music for us to look out for are foreign. We should all give Perez a big thank you for even caring about putting "Listen To This" on his site. It shows he cares about unsigned artists and is not just a wack job who cares only about whatever MTV or VH-1 tell us to like.

Please everyone stop hating on Perez, The Booze or any other band I have read about on this comment section. This is something we should use to show support to the bands Perez and anyone else mentions. I will say I support unheard music as long as it is good.

    157

NO! WHY? I have seen this band play. I am from Atlanta. The singer was so horribly off key and horrendous it almost made me cry. The other guys in the band are sleazy, creepy jerks. This band does not deserve the publicity. At all. And the song you posted is completely boring.

the booze play in my home town, Charlotte NC a lot. I usually make it out to all of their shows. its one of the best shows that comes around these parts these days. tons of dancing and drinking and happy faces, and the boys are all great gents. if all of you dumb ass kids that have nothing better to do with your time than sit on the internet and comment about how everything sucks, why dont you try to fuckin do something yourself.
these guys are just doing what they love, playing music.

    Re: Producer
You wouldn't know production if it hit you in the head.

The Booze, however, don't need production, see… They just need to rock!

  62. Modjordan says – reply to this

    162

To all you people that are hatin' on The Booze, fuck off! You just don't get it. The Booze, for my money, is the best band in Atlanta and are some pretty cool cats. Keep rockin' guys.

  63. Atlanta Bands to look for! says – reply to this

    163

Here are a few bands all from Atlanta and songs you all should myspace and listen to.

Beat Beat Beat - "Don't Tell Me Now" (Great old school punk sound, great live)

Black Lips - "O Katrina" (If you have not heard of them, you live under a rock)

The Coathangers - "Tonya Harding" (All girl band, good on record, o.k live.)

Gentleman Jessie and His Men - "Don't Wanna To Know" (Great song, great live, great vocals.)

Thee Crucials - "Doe Eyes" (Great garage band from Atlanta. This song is full of energy and is very rock n roll. This song makes me dance.)

The Carbonas - "Black Out" (AMAZING!!!! Full of energy. Their singles on myspace are fast, and also makes me dance.)

Of course The Booze are on my favorite Atlanta bands. I just say listen to all their myspace songs and pick a favorite because I can't.

Maybe you guys will let the rest of the U.S. and world know Atlanta has great bands and not all of them sound like hillbilly music. I love you all!
