An awful awful video has been making the Internet rounds that shows a glib Marine throwing a puppy off a rocky cliff.
Just writing that is making us cry.
Maj. Chris Perrine of the Marine Corps Base Hawaii says it appears the man is based with a unit in the islands.
Marine officials are calling the YouTube video "shocking and deplorable" and say it violates "the high standard we expect of every Marine."
What is SO disgusting is that this "person" would do this to a poor puppy and also videotape it and spread that awful energy all over the world.
He will get his!
And hopefully this investigation will result in a discharge against him and criminal case as well.

While it is by far the most disgusting thing I've seen… counting 2girls1cup… I would prefer to have him as a Marine. When considering the acts that our enemy execute I would rather have a cold heartless person fighting. Considering what they do this is chump change. Think about who you want fighting instead of just pity little issues like animal cruelty. Don't get me wrong its horrible what he did… but I'd rather have him fight than be sentenced.

Wow….I am shocked and disgusted. Not by the Marine, but by all the people who have criticized him on this website. Does it seem 'inhumane'? Of course…yet what do you think is harder? Killing a puppy (which you all have sympathy for bc it is 'cute') or having to routinely deal with dead women, children, and men. Whether the video is real or fake (and I'm actually pretty sure it is fake) the real tragedy here is that people are so quick to jump on the soldier. Our country's soldiers are coming back from Iraq with serious issues and incontrollable anger. Check out the suicide rates for returning soldiers. Do a little research on Vietnam and you will discover the inhumane acts committed there from perfectly normal men pushed to unspeakable things by the brutal reality of war. One dead puppy and people are outraged…thousands of dead soldiers and civilians, and hundreds of thousands of US soldiers with severe PTSD, and no one cares….That is what is disgusting.

I had not heard this until now and really wish I hadn't because now I am sooo sad and disturbed - I will not watch the video b/c it's way too upsetting. If you care about how animals are treated, don't just focus on this cute puppy. Masses of chickens and cows and pigs are being tortured EVERY DAY in factory farms. Show the meat industry that you don't support these practices with your $$$$s. Have some conviction and go vegetarian (or verify that your food comes from a cruelty-free source before buying!)!!!!!!
