An awful awful video has been making the Internet rounds that shows a glib Marine throwing a puppy off a rocky cliff.
Just writing that is making us cry.
Maj. Chris Perrine of the Marine Corps Base Hawaii says it appears the man is based with a unit in the islands.
Marine officials are calling the YouTube video "shocking and deplorable" and say it violates "the high standard we expect of every Marine."
What is SO disgusting is that this "person" would do this to a poor puppy and also videotape it and spread that awful energy all over the world.
He will get his!
And hopefully this investigation will result in a discharge against him and criminal case as well.

I saw this on CNN, too. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Even IF the puppy was dead at the time, why would you throw it off a cliff??? What is that accomplishing, what is the purpose? It is real.. I saw it this morning and started crying. The Military dude that throws the puppy by it's neck is named (last named mentioned when another officer said "awwwww ________ that's mean". His face is really clear. It wont be long until he's identified and brought to justice. The pup couldn't be more than a couple months old. Helpless. Hopefully it died instantly. I'll never forget those yelps when he threw it by it's scruff on the neck… NEVER.

The dog never moves. Not once in the entire video does the dog have any motion of any kind.
Holding the pup by the scruff, a live pup would jiggle when he winds up to throw. It almost looked if that pup had a handle he was so stiff.
The yelping is the same volume even as the pup lands a considerable distance away (edited in later no doubt)
A live dog would hit like a sack of potatoes. That thing bounced like, well, a rigor mortised puppy.

They had a vet watch the video and he said that as far as he could tell it was a actual puppy. That dudes screwed though. People leaked his name, base, phone, family phone, license plate number. His family have already disconnected there line and are declining to comment. The marines are investigating. Sick dude but hes getting his.

That video was real. The puppy's front paws were bound with a restraint. Why would anyone do that on a dead puppy. Also, veterinarians interviewed said that a puppy held by the scruff of his neck would hold still and the cries of the puppy sounded like an authentic cry from a puppy in distress.

While my brother was serving in Iraq he said some soldiers would drop puppies in the well to see how long it would take them to hit the bottom. They would also smash their heads with rocks. My brother ended up getting into a fight with another solider so that they would stop.
