Sum 41's caught the Avril disease!
The hasbeen pop/punkers are having trouble unloading tix to their current tour, much like You Know Who.
Deryck Whibley (aka Mr. Lavigne) and his band were supposed to 'rock' the 7,000 capacity Moncton Coliseum Complex in New Brunswick, Canada, on March 7th. However, the concert venue recently changed to the 1,200 capacity Club Oxygen.
Blame poor ticket sales for the switch!
We're told Whibley and bandmates have been having trouble selling tix for their most recent outing, not just this one date.
It could have something to do with the fact that no one bought their new album.
Just a hunch!

Even Elton John is cheaping down his show. It used to be a lot of money went into his stage show. Now it is the bare minimum. Also the tickets are 75$ and up. I went to see him in the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. Sat in a seat that was so bad they should not have even sold a ticket for it. The acoustics were terrible and his performance was lack lustre. It seems like concerts are a big money grab. The people who actually listen to a lot of these bands can't afford to go to the concerts. The industry is based on greed and the average person cannot afford to attend. I feel bad for the performer but maybe the industry will get the hint that they have gouged too much and have actually now drained people to the point where they have had it.

What surprises me the most is that they haven't been dropped from their record label yet. With all the CRTC radio benefits they get they still can't sell their shit. That Derk guy is so fucking ugly, too.

I will say it too…Perez you mentionned Moncton, NB, and it felt good to read that on your site…also to actually see that a lot of people from NB are, like me, reading you blogs…ohh and by the way…for the people that wrote "who gives a shit that NB was mentionned blah blah blah" you're probably not from NB… so why should you even care that we're excited…just mind your own f***in business and don't pay attention to our comments!!!
Sum 41 was supposed to be at the Moncton Coliseum on November 8th 2007 (a thursday) but cancelled at the last minute…I don't think we even knew why they cancelled but anyways…so the day after the cancelled concert (so Nov.9) I read on perezhilton.com that Derek and Avril were partying at club Jet in Las Vegas…we weren't impressed at all…to cancel a show but to party all night instead!…and even if they were across the US and we were in our "small boring province of NB" like people said…we still found out what Derek was doing…so this time around they're coming to town and we just said no thank you!

Or how about try the fact that they never show for their concerts. Twice, maybe three times now, i'm not sure but for sure TWICE they haven't showed up for a concert in LONDON ONTARIO. and i'm sure other cities have been just as lucky. The first time was because derek missed his flight. When they did the make up show he confirmed it was because it was too hung over. Maybe if they put their fans about their personal drinking habits, maybe they'd sell tickets. but hey, what do i know?

they are playing in oshawa, ontario in march. i wonder what the ticket sales will be like there? hahaha. right around the corner from their old venue that they played when they were 'discovered' lmao.

I`m from moncton and the O2 can`t really hold that many people. The bands that have their shows their are the bands that not alot of people are going to go see….It`s funny that they were at the collesium and they cancelled for whatever stupid reason and now no one wants to go to their show….lol…

ticket sales must be low. sum 41 is playing a show at my college in ontario in the next couple weeks. we're a relatively small college so it seems like they must be desperate.

Just cos one theatre isnt selling well doesnt mean that other places are'nt. Sum 41 are absolutely huge in places like Japan more of asia and parts of Europe.
Fianally for your information there latest album turned platinum in canada and Gold in America. It has also reached number 7 in the us billboard and number 47 in the uk. there latest record has nearly sold a million copies world wide.

I went to the 02 to see sum 41 and liked it better then when they came the first time (to the collisuem).I also would like to say that it was very cool of them not to cancel due to ticket sales(like most performers would do)if ticket sales are poor.Not to mention that ozzy was here not long before they came and the tickets were over a hundred dollers for each ticket ,also ozzy has never been here before.(IM JUST SAYING).So perezilla why don't you worry less about what is going on in other peoples lives and worry more about your life.(dude i can actually see you getting fatter)FUCKING LOSER
