We bet Wisconsin is at a standstill….
After 17 years (!) in the NFL, legendary quarterback, Brett Favre, is retiring from the game.
According to Fox Sports, who broke the story Tuesday morning, Favre leaves the game as the all-time record holder in several categories including wins, passing yards, touchdowns and consecutive games started. A three-time MVP, the southern swashbuckler won fans over with his carefree style.
Brett Favre, his people and the Green Bay Packers have yet to confirm Fox's report.
We've always liked Mr. Favre. He'll always be Cameron Diaz's hot ex-boyfriend in There's Something About Mary to us!
Thankfully there's another Favre in the NFL to keep the family name alive!

I have met Brett and not only is he uber-sexy but he is an amazing man and humanitarian. This will truly be a great loss for not only the Packers but the entire NFL!

To say that I'm a huge Favre fan is an understatement - more people called/texted/emailed/Facebooked me on the day of the announcement than on my birthday. Words can't express how much I will miss watching Favre and his gunslinging on the football field (I can hardly remember the Packers without Favre at the QB position), but c'mon - the guy is almost 40 years old. After giving both the Packers and the NFL years of entertainment, I think he's entitled to hang up his cleats and go out on his terms. Brett, there will never be another one like you. Enjoy retirement and all that comes with it - time with your family, golf, and the riding lawn mower:)

First of all let me say iam a cowboys fan my dad has been a true cowboys fan since he was 8 and he is now in his 40s and he will fully admit that Brett is one of the best.qb in NFL history in a known fact no matter if your a green bay fan or not and trust me for a cowboys fan to have respect for the packers is a huge deal they are one of our biggest rivals but there no denying the packers are historicaly oneof the best teams and as a NFL fan there must be respect Brett is a legend
