Princess Eugenie nabbed the cover of posh UK mag Tatler for her 18th birthday.
Her mother is the infamous Sarah Ferguson…the o.g. Fergie!
Eugenie and Perezito share the same birthday - March 23rd. Aries rule!
The princess has definitely blossomed from earlier in her youth.
Eugenie toughed out a seven-hour operation when she was 12 to correct a curvature of her spine, during which surgeons had to insert two titanium rods into her back which are still there today.
At one point there were predictions that she would be a "hunchback" by the time she was 18.
She's standing tall and proving those speculations wrong! Work it, girl!

My sister had the same surgery done on her back in 2006. She has come a long way since then.

I had the same surgery when I was her age too. I had to get another one when I was 16 to make sure that I didn't turn into a "hunchback' either. I'm actually in the works to get my scar covered up with a back piece tattoo.

actually perez, i had this SAME EXACT surgery not even a year ago, and i can tell you with 100% accuracy that she had no chance of being a hunchback by the time she was 18. that would only happen if she didn't get the surgery. so of course she wouldnt be hunchback, she got it corrected!

play the sympathy card much? i had scoliosis surgery too. i know it's a serious thing, but i can't help but laugh at how her pr is making it sound much more life-threatening than it actually is. as long as it is caught before it progresses too much, and you go to a surgeon who knows what he is doing–it's not that terrible.
it's pretty common–anyone who gets absolutely no treatment obviously would have serious back problems. but it's hard not to notice it, even before the condition gets really bad. so i'm sure she was never actually going to be a hunchback–that's the worst case scenario.
i guess i can't complain too much though. it is somewhat cool that someone famous actually had the surgery, let alone openly admitted to it. i have to give her a little respect for that.
