Frenchie got screwed!
Fagulous Idol contestant David Hernandez, who has been outed as a former stripper at a club for men, won't be affected by the new revelations.
“We've had strippers on the show before…We're never judgmental about people who do things like that," Idol executive producer Ken Warwick tells TV Guide. " If it were some sort of heavy porn, then maybe we'd have to take action. But certainly not on this."
So. Not. Fair.

As for Hernandez, "If the public doesn't like him, then they'll get rid of him," says Warwick. "If there's a stretch of the public that thinks, ‘Oh, dear, he was a male stripper, I'm not gonna vote for him,’ then that's the luck of the draw."

I think that people don't realize how few (if at all) civil rights sex workers have. It's quite sad. People are so quick to judge yet who are the ones who create a demand for the sex industry? You and everyone else. If you watch porn on the internet, buy adult magazines, or visit a strip club you have contributed to the demand for adult entertainment (i.e. created that job market) yet it is so often these people who create this market that condemn the people that work it. It's horribly sad and we need to get rights for sex workers. Discrimination is not fair.

I guess I didn't realize that by striking back at that homophobe by calling her fat I was hurting the feelings of a lot of really nice good people on this site. I feel terrible by that…maybe I am learning something thanks to you. I remember once upon a time when I was always trying to lose the same extra thirty pounds…I was emotional eating because my so called friends and homophobic father dropped me so I binge ate and drank too much. Maybe venting on the internet releived some of my post traumatic stress…anyway I see now that that doesn't fly here…as this is a site for people to escape and have fun. I'm sad right now but I'll get over it….and I'll take these comments to heart and tone it down a bit. By striking back at others I was doing the exact same thing to anonymous strangers that my tormenters did to me….and I regret that. I'm glad you called me out on it. If you hadn't I probably would've just kept on doing it not realizing that I was annoying offending and hurting others. I'm really sorry. that's a hard word for me to say but I mean it. I hope you read this. Odds are nil that you will since this post is three days old now…now I'll modify my posts just the same. Maybe when someone homophobes me I'll just punch a punching bag instead…instead of getting nasty on here.

American Idol topless photo controversy
After revealing pictures of season six American Idol contender Antonella Barba surfaced on the internet, many drew parallels to a similar situation involving season two contender Frenchie Davis. In an interview conducted for The New York Post on Monday, March 5th, 2007, Davis said, "I couldn't help but notice the difference between the manner in which she was dealt with and how I was dealt with…. I think it's fantastic if 'Idol' has evolved, and I think it's fantastic she won't have to go through what I went through four years ago … but if the rules have changed, I believe there should be something to make up for the fact that I was humiliated needlessly."[3] According to Davis, she was up-front about her pictures: “When I first discovered that I had made it to Hollywood and found out I would be competing to get into the top 30 and then later in the top 12, they had given us all this paperwork to fill out, background checks and that whole thing.
