Avril's Tour Opens….To Disappointment

April Lavigne kicked off her world tour in Canada on Thursday night and, as expected, it sucked!
The reviewer for the Victoria Times Colonnist, who admitted to liking her music, had this to say about her show:
For the most part, I like Lavigne's music and have taken it upon myself to argue the point repeatedly to the non-fans who will listen.
But Wednesday night wasn't an occasion I would go on the record for with unwavering support.
Granted, it was the opening night of her world tour - which includes 15 dates in Canada - but the so-billed Best Damn Tour wasn't even the Somewhat OK Damn Tour; it was just plain disappointing.
Awww, poor April.
At least she has her troll husband's shoulder to cry on!

okay, i live in victoria bc, and i went to the concert, and it was the opposite of what the person said in the newspaper, it was SOOO good, i thought it would be worse, but it was sooo good, she was WAY better than the boys like girls, and everyone that went to it said that it was really good, and that the critic was just being a bitch, because it was suchh a good concert.
Haha, I am from Victoria and saw that in the newspaper this morning. The article is pretty funny but also sad/pathetic because he really was able to capture Avrils lack of enjoyment/lack of energy… And charging $60 for a 75 minute show is a total ripoff, especially when it's half-assed.

I am from Victoria > I had won tickets and I took my 9 year old niece .
I am 40 and I truly enjoyed it.
She did not lip sink like some other artist , she played the drums and she played the guiter. Her concert was not trasy like other young artist who dance around half naked > it was lite and enjoying to the kids that were their .
I am proud of avril and I respect her as an artist and she is candian .
And the guy that wrote that article in the paper , he is in 40's and that's his opinion .
She has a stronge young following .. and to be honest her concert and her style of dance was their to please the young fans.
ANd the crowd had a wonderful time and they were alive.
She rocks and I am proud of avril .
Clean healthy fun that's what avril came across to those kids
as an aunt she made me feel that my niece was getting good clean entertainment.

the concert wasn't that bad… what I didn't enjoy
is that every person at the concert was between the ages of 6-14 and i felt freakishly old there…
the only thing that really went wrong was that a cord on a piano broke.
I mean even though avrils apparently a giant douche… and i don't doubt that. It was the first concert that I went to and I could actually dance to the music.. and it turned out to be really fun.
every other concert is more…. get trampled in the mosh pit sort of scene.
even though I originally went to see boys like girls im glad a saw avril as well.

I have seen Avril 3 times in concert and she is amazing. I can't wait to see her at her SOLD OUT concert in Kingston Ontario. Yes it is sold out and it did so within 10 minutes. So screw you guys

she beyond sucks
I caught the edmonton Alberta show and it was pretty much as bad as what was written about her. I think there were sound system problems because the opening act sounded less like singing and more like screaming,too many interludes we paid for singing not to watch breakdancing,to short,cost to much 65 dollars to be exact,it was just so far beneath the talent that you know she has but this was more about the glamour and less about the music
