"I'm Not A Drunk, Y'All"

Even though she's been reported to have gotten so drunk she's puked at clubs on several occasions (who hasn't?), Ashlee Simpson is adamant that she was not inebriated during a morning radio show appearance this week.

Ass is fighting mad and is taking to her MySpace Celebrity blog to lash out at the DJ and defend her reputable honor.
She says:
"Response to False Rumors
I'm sitting on my bus heading to Tampa, FL. I have been on a promo tour. It has been a crazy hectic schedule. Early mornings for radio and late nights playing club shows. It's been a lot of work, but I have great people with me so it's been a lot of fun! 
I just wanted to address the rumors from a couple days ago at a morning radio show. It was very upsetting to hear that people are saying that I was intoxicated when I came in for my morning interview. I take my work very seriously and would never disrespect anyone and come into an interview that way. Here is the honest to God truth and this is for none other then my fans:
The night before I had a good friend come to my hotel to give me a tattoo. When I arrived to the radio station I showed them the tattoo I got the night before. It is my belief that they automatically assumed that because I got a tattoo I must have drank that night. I would never get a tattoo after drinking nor would a reputable tattoo artist do a tattoo after someone was drinking. When I walked into the radio station I was thrown into the interview. They didn't even introduce themselves to me before starting it, and just put me on the air. I felt bad energy and like I was about to be attacked as soon as I sat down. I felt uncomfortable. I'm sure you all have heard the interview so there is no need for me to sit here & tell you everything that was said and asked. As you may have noticed, I was asked mostly personal questions which are never fun to be asked and therefore I giggled my way through it. If you listen to other interviews I've done, you'd know I giggle a lot. Not only because I am a happy person & everyone who knows me knows I laugh all day long, but also I giggle when people ask me uncomfrotable questions not knowing what to say or what else to do. Questions & false rumors about my dad being a jerk, being pregnant, being engaged, etc are not fun to answer every single day. Eventually I try to just laugh them off and hope they start asking me important questions about my album and music which is why I am there. Five minutes after the interview was over I heard the dj that interviewed me say on the air that I was drunk. That really upset me especially after how uncomfortable they made me feel. Twenty minutes after that I went to XM Radio for an interview. They treated me with respect and were thankful for me showing up so early in the morning. I told the DJ there what had just happened and he said he wasn't surprised at all. The XM DJ said he used to work at that radio station and that he does things like that to people all the time trying to make a "story" out of it. He hated it because he did things like that to people all the time.
Throughout my career, I have learned that you must speak up for yourself when people try to put you down. That is why I am writing this today. I'm tired of people making things up about others. Again, this is for my fans. You are what is important to me.

first of all, as a tattoo artist for 5 years now, i can tell you that NO reputable tattoo artist would go to a hotel room and tattoo someone. that is not sterile or sanitary at all. i'd love to know who this artist is!
I agree Kane from the morning show in question is a total ass. He will make something out of nothing. He is very cold towards his guests. I was a guest there once and I can tell you that he is not even close to nice to the callers behind their backs and thinks far too highly of himself. Kane is awful.
I don't really like Ashlee or her music, but I listened to the interview, and she didn't sound drunk at all. She sounded tired, or maybe high, but not drunk.

She wasn't drunk, just stupid. Her banter sucks and she obviously laughs when she's nervous. If I were a DJ or reporter, I would NOT want to interview Asslee b/c she has nothing interesting to say!

I THINK THE KANE SHOW WAS TRYING TO MAKE A STORY!!!I LISTEN TO IT ALL THE TIME,BUT THERE IS DEFINATELY SOMTHING NOT RIGHT WITH EITHER OF THE SISTERS.I THINK THERE DAD IS A LITTLE STRANGE I'M NOT SUPRISED THAT SHE HAS TO ANSWER ALOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT HIM BEING A JERK.
OK hot 99.5 talks alot of BS…thats what keeps people listening….I heard the whole show, and NO I didnt think for a second she was drunk, WTF. From the sounds of it she was rushed into the hot seat…and lets be real which one of us jumps right into our work, the second we arrive to work? We have time to wind down, and start at our leasure… So really Ashlee is a person too why would it be any different for her?… I think she was very professional about shyt, very cute in her responses and very real over all…gigglin and all….she did stumble over her words when she was trying to tell us the lyrics of her song that she likes…..and she really in my mind was just reviewing them in her mind out loud…BIG WHOOP. Maybe she was nervous? who knows…but why the fk do people gotta make a big deal outta nothing?..really. I went to see her in MARYLAND the same day, got a cd signed and all..and she was so sweet….and obviously NOT DRUNK…. sheesh…and shyt even if she was who cares shes old enough..lol LET HER BE…ASHLEE NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR YOU HONEY BUNN, THANKS FOR MY BDAY WISHES! FK WHAT EVERYONE SAYS NEGATIVELY ABOUT YOU….YOU KEEP BEING YOU….THATS WHATS REAL.

I listen to that morning show and not only did she sound intoxicated, she sounded like a complete idiot. She didn't even know the lyrics to her own song from the album she was there to promote! AND if you listen to the interview the only personal question they asked her was if she was engaged. She is def just trying to cover up for the horrible interview she gave.
She may not have been drunk, but she sure is stupid, as well as unprofessional. How can you appear on a radio show to promote your album and not know the lyrics to your own songs?!?! That must be such an insult to all the musicians out there who only dream on appearing on the radio.
Ashlee Simpson is a production. She has no talent, but is somehow famous. Her face is fake, her hair is fake. She is a sheltered, pimped out by poppa rich kid with no inherit talent. WHY is she famous? WHY? I think she is part of the paprazzi money-making scheme: girls famous for no reason, whose primary income comes from tipping off paparazzi as to where they are going, then taking a cut of the profits when the photos are sold. How sad is that? To be famous just for being famous? In the meantime, the talented celebrities don't pimp themselves for the publicity and they run, RUN, from the paparazzi.
I listen to 99.5 everyday but I didn't listen to that show live. I listened to it on the internet today after seeing this. I don't think she sounded drunk at all. Stupid…yes, Drunk…no.
1) If she would have shown up on time then she wouldn't have been thrown into the show like that.

This chick has excuses for everything. I would respect her more if she just finally stood up and say I suck at life and everything I do, because I have no talent and my money-hungry "father", bullshits me by telling me I have talent. I am only good at being a professional whiner and fucking up everything that I do.. I don't deserve the fame or money I have so therefore I screw up everything including my hair. I was at Ashlee's interview with B97 in New Orleans in February and I can totally testify that she does giggle her way through a bunch of questions. She even giggled when I asked her if she had fun at the House of Shock when she was down here in October. I have videos of some of the questions and she giggles a lot. Everyone has their own way of dealing with awkward situations, and her's just happens to be laughing stuff off. And to the whole tattoo thing, just because you get a tattoo doesn't mean that you're drunk. I have a tattoo of an X on my ankle. I wasn't drunk when I got it. In fact, I was in eighth grade and me and my two friends did them ourselves in my bathroom. If someone thinks that she was drunk when she got a tattoo PROFESSIONALLY done, I don't know what I must have been when I gave myself a tattoo, and a X of all things.
I respect her so much for posting this on her blog. Most people would have let their publicist make statements to the media or that would have just let the media beat them down. But she is standing up for herself and that is admirable.

For years now, I've been conveying to the majority of society that this girl has no talent. Take away the lipsync. frenzy and the 'Fallout Boy' beau-and all that remains is a washed up Simpson. Just like her sister, she craves the attention from media. But in the reality of things, she has a career deploy similar to Lindsay Lohan…fading fast.
I'm surprised she can still show her face.
