We're Starting To Feel Bad For Her

April Lavigne's tour is soldiering on, and the shiteous reviews keep pouring in!
This time, it's from Canada's Globe and Mail.
The title pretty much sums it all up: "She's like, so whatever."
The splashy, showy staging, at odds with Lavigne's early T-shirt wearing, skateboard-riding image, makes for a more production-reliant show than Lavigne and her fans are used to. There are dancers - don't hold their introduction, a flag-waving run onto the stage, against them; they turn out to be excellent - risers, and strobe light effects. But there are nonetheless some shouts-out to Lavigne's skateboard-park beginnings, with skull and crossbones imagery splashed across the stage.
It's all very distracting, but none of it can make up for the worst damn truth about Avril Lavigne: She's not a very good singer.

Re: stella – You're a foolish child with no real understanding of talent.. She isn't a good singer, she isn't punk, she isn't a legend, (except in her own mind of course). She has bamboozled a bunch of pre-teens in to believing her own hype, damn she can't even write her own material without stealing it.. The true sadness of all this is how she has defaced the word punk so that any tie wearing adolescent thinks they are punk.. She's a joke, and if that's where you wish to throw your money away, then circle the wagons and have at it.. but don't expect the rest of us to jump on that idiot laced band wagon with you..
we just got back from Avril's concert in kelowna last nite!!
it was awesome.
My daughter and I waited for an hour out in the cold after the concert and she came out and signed everyone's posters and stuff.
She is pretty fabulous. she plays drums, piano and guitar, she can sing and she doesnt go out flashy her snatch around and shit.
I think she needs more credit.
I think she is pretty good role model.
I would rather have my daughter dropping f bombs then doing drugs thanks.

Why do you people hate her so much? I've been to a concert and she put a on a great show. Get over this already. To anyone who thinks her career has "tanked"… I wanted to see if Perez' little claim was true, but her concerts were sold OUT - that nutter who said MuchMusic only managed to give away 8 tickets, that's MUCHMUSIC'S doing, as the concert in Toronto is SOLD OUT! Her song "hot" is on the radio 24/7… so how exactly has she tanked?
I saw her concert in kamloops, and it was amazing! She's BETTER in person. She has a great voice. Awesome performance, too. I'm not even a big fan

EDMONTON - For Avril Lavigne to call her current jaunt The Best Damn Tour takes some cojones on her part.
Not that an absurd statement can't be enjoyed for what it is — Echo and the Bunnymen once called an album of theirs "the greatest work of art since Michelangelo's David" — but Wednesday night's show wasn't the best damn anything, really. Near as could be seen, it was simply a conspiracy to sell glowsticks — and at $10 a pop someone was making a killing.
Instead, what the crowd of 11,500 mostly young, screaming girls got was a quick-paced, bare-bones show with a couple of costume changes, dancers and Lavigne inexorably pumping out hits like she was on the clock.

I agree Avril was amazing at this concert, I absolutely loved this concert, Avril's voice was so good.

I think she's very arrogant and snotty. And this isn't the only place where I've read about how bad her concerts are. I like her hair and her dress in this picture, though.
