I agree with her.. My daughter is in elementary and she was taught that homosexuality is okay and normal.. I dont agree with this at all.. HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT NORMAL!!!! Its against the bible people!!

My opinion is that homosexuality is a sin (and of course I'm not without sin myself). That being said, I do not judge anyone for how they live their lives. I do however refuse to allow people to tell my son that it's a cool thing to be a homosexual (which again, in my eyes is a sin). If someone is "born" (i'm still torn on how I feel about that) a homosexual that is one thing but when it becomes a fad and acceptable to "become" a homosexual that is unacceptable in my opinion. If one of my children believes they were born a homosexual I will embrace them, but my only hope is that I have raised them with the morals I hope to bestow and it is in fact they were born a homosexual rather than that society has made it so acceptable that it is a choice for them to make.
Re: Christian – Number 398, not once in the New Testament did Jesus Christ himself even speak on the subject of homosexuality. So called "Christians" should be familiar with the text they adulterate to attempt to substantiate their own fears and hates. I cant believe this woman has any power. The fact that someone is gay has NOTHING to do with their ability to lead in a city council or anything of the sort. Gay-Straight Alliances are good ideas! If kids, both gay and straight are joining, it is a fabulous idea!!! Im not sure what I think about schools teaching homosexuality. I think they should teach tolerance for people that are different in any way because they cant help it. Since homosexuality is still a bit of a dodgy issue for many parents, in regards to their children, I think it should be left out of schools specifically. It is such a shame when people use God and the Bible as reasons to exclude and differentiate anyone with a difference. Thats not what Jesus taught. Worry about yourself and your own, not judging others with different lifestyles or things they cant help.

What leaves me completely baffled is that she is using the hypocrisy of Christianity to support her ideas. The Bible does state that homosexuality is a sin, but since when does our country have to be based on that document? Don't we have a freedom of religion here in the US? The Bible in no way represents all people of different religions here in the US. Also, not only does the Bible say that homosexuality is a sin, but it also supports Abraham having many wives and mistresses (and that is adultery), and it supports the use of slavery. Do we support slavery and adultery?! NO! Therefore we CANNOT pick and choose what parts of the Bible we support and use as a basis for issues in the government.
