Hey Perez, I'm a huge fan of yours and I think that this is disgusting and pathetic that in 2008 we still getting the kind of insults from someone as ignorant as her. I copy the article that you post it on your site, on my site as well, I don't think it is ok to post it the site here because it is a xxx site so I just wanted to let know that I support our community. We really need to finish with this and I think that she needs to resign from he position, but we'll see.

I am not a homosexual but, I believe everyone should be treated equally and the bottom line here is hate. She is representing a state and spreading her hateful message. This goes beyond the 1st amendment when you are suppossed to be representative for a group of people. I see her resigning within a few weeks, rarely do people who make such ignorant comments or in her case rants make it. She just killed her political career.
Some of these comments are really astounding to me…just because we have freedom of speech doesn't give a person the right to make whatever comments they want, ESPECIALLY when they are an elected official. This woman deserves every criticism that she gets…there is no place for this sort of hatred in the 21st century, so I'm glad to see so many people are writing to her. It is NOT okay to discriminate against a group of people like this. I don't understand why this woman hasn't been asked to step down…I mean, all these commentators on TV have gotten fired or suspended for making racist comments, so why wouldn't she have to be held to the same standards? Ms. Kern will not apologize. That is fine. I suggest then that each person who finds her words disgusting and misinformed request that she take sensitivity training and to work with LGBT community centres, and Islamic places of worship in the Oklahoma area.
She is expressing her right under the First Amendment. We cannot expect her to apologize, but we can ask that she volunteer her time to LGBT organizations, and any others that she may have harmed with her words. Perhaps learning about the very thing she fears may help her to become a more compassionate person.

"THALL SHALL NOT JUDGE"… I know that is in the Bible also. I think it's fucked up how everyone in this world is so concerned with others sex life. WHO CARE'S!!! You don't have to answer to God for those people who choose that life style, you have to worry about your own sins that you made in life. The gay community is not going away so, why can't we all just get along? WE NEED PEACE IN THIS WORLD!!!!
Being a Canadian, and having had lived in the states, I feel sorry for all the educated and positive people in the states. You country unfortunately breaths of ignorance, amongst many other things, that are very destructive for your nation or any human beings. When I see the above frozen smile of Sally Kern, I have to say it's a frightening image.

I know you must be a smart woman, to be in the position you are in. That said, could you please tell me how homosexuals will threaten our homeland more than terrorists? Please just provide some facts on this.
You need to realize that prosperous societies are those that are tolerant. We have this fear of countries like China or India becoming the next super power, and dominating our economy. The fact is, nobody wants to become Chinese or Indian. The Chinese are communist and not Tolerant of different ideologies. This will keep them inferior to us….if that is our goal.
That said, America needs to be tolerant and open to ALL ideologies…..following the prosperity of our forefathers, the creation of the Constitution and the success of the free world.
Please try to read something else besides the Bible and understand that you are in a position to follow the Constitution. The same Constitution that does not follow any God….and was simply written for the people…..All types of people.

Come on!! All I hear from the people defending this woman is the First Amendment! You seem to scream at the injustice of Perez and other offended people on the site that it's her right to say what she wants. Well, that's true. It's also Perez's right to express his opinion whether people want to hear it or not. The 1st amendment gives you, Perez and Kern the equal right to do so. What it doesn't allow is an elected government official imposing her religious beliefs on the people of the United States or Oklahoma. You'll find that in the First Amendment too but some people here seemed to have conveniently forgotten that.
I BELIEVE IN WHAT SHE SAYS TOO. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A DISGUSTING VILE PERVERSION, WHICH IS WHY ALL THE MAJOR RELIGIONS CONSIDER IT AN ABOMINATION.
