Well I just emailed her and thanked her for inspiring a young California girl to become more involved in anti-hate and discrimination issues.
It is time for all of America to end this style of negative political behavior. We need leaders that will stop isolating this group or that group and bring our country together. Hate is not the answer. Making these comments is all about creating an "us and them" mentality that hurts our country. It is about hate. Pure and simple. To say that homosexuals are more dangerous than terrorism is anti-American. This country has millions of gay Americans that are productive and life affirming and that make a real difference. This hate mongering politician should be recalled immediately.
The Bible states, many times throughout, that women are to be docile and stay at home - never speak up and if they have questions, ask their educated husbands. If she's so set in believing what the "Word of God" has to say about homosexuality, then she should also be forced to believe that she shouldn't be in office.
It's not fair to pick and choose what part of "God's Word" you want to believe in. Either do it all, or switch your mind into thinking like it's 2008.
Can we just get rid of middle America? I wish the US was just the East and West coasts with an ocean in between. Culturally, I guess there is just a vast ocean between the coasts anyway.

with freedoms and rights come RESPONSIBILITIES, and these include following the law. The law explicitly does not accept discrimination.
Also, she may have the freedom to say what she wants, but she is a politician! We must not be "whatever she can say what she wants" about it, because then she'll get the impression people don't care. There is a risk that since she is in a position of authority, if people do not inform her that they do not agree with her, she will attempt to implement policies against gays.

I'm from Oklahoma and work at a small radio station in my hometown. This morning an older man came who talks politics with me. I'm going to Florida at the end of the week to Disney World for work and he told me that the majority of people that work there are queers. Believe Oklahoma is full of people like her.
