Re: nope… – the gas prices started noticeably rising in about 1999 (about $.90 a gallon). i know because a year later i got my license and the prices were well above a dollar. that was about 4 years before iraq. and as a high school student at the time, i was real pressed for money, so i did pay close attention to gas prices.

And if you have to BLAME anyone- blame the dumbasses who took out mortgages they couldn't afford because they were too STUPID to do the math, and the con men who run mortgage companies, and the dumbasses who buy crap they don't need on credit cards that I guess they expect to never have to pay. It may not be Bush's fault but he could be doing more to try and reverse gas prices. Remember, he has generations of oil in his veins and a lot of his buddies are in oil too. A few weeks ago, he was completely unaware of how high gas prices were. He even admitted it. What we need to do is get these silver spoon, rich assholes out of politics and elect people in touch with the real world. We have had too many years of cronism. Democrat or republican are all the same today. They are only in it for their personal benefit. Why is it that a person who serves one term in congress is eligible for a pension that equals thata of a veteran who has served 25 years in the service?
