Instead of distancing themselves from her vitriol, Republicans in the state of Oklahoma are applauding congresswoman Sally Kern for saying such small-minded and hateful things like….gays are worse than terrorists.
Really!
Kern told reporters that her fellow Republicans in Oklahoma gave her a standing ovation on Monday.
And, she has vowed not to apologize for her hateful words.
Insane!

It's her right to say what she said, just like it's Perez's right to say and type what he wants. In the bible it says that homosexuality is wrong and those who are religious know that and therefore are against homosexuality. Yes, what she said was nasty, was it wrong? No, because it's her opinion. Also, why is it that when someone has split personalities, which isn't normal, they are told they have a mental disease? Why is it that when someone sees things which aren't really there, which is not normal, they are told they have a mental problem? Furthermore, who says those things aren't normal? Who dictates that? Society? Doctors? So, maybe, just maybe, Homosexuality is a mental disease. Afterall, it has been proven that homosexual tendencies can be "Cured", just like any other mental disease. Hmm?

i went to oklahoma a few months ago, and I'm religious, buuuut where I was in Tulsa there was a church every 10 ft… literally. they have them inserted into the strip malls. I talked to a waiter, when he found out I was from the east coast we started talking, he told me he was gay and that was not exceptable at all to be open about it. He said he wished he could but he know he would be treated much differently.

I feel like the majority here do not understand what freedom of speech means. It doesn't mean say whatever you want and nobody can get mad - the reason is beacuse others have freedom of speech as well. Freedom of speech simply means that one won't be persecuted and put in jail if they speak out about something. And guess what - she won't be.
