Re: Athena – Me personally I am a realist. Nothing is forever, not our figures, not men's hairline, dress sizes. The only thing you can truly count on is yourself. Do I believe my husband will ever cheat, no, not this one; could he, sure. Would I forgive him, don't know. Would I ever cheat, don't know. Things change, so do we all. Perez - the more you comment on politics, the more ignorant you sound. The governor of a large state can't abruptly resign without causing havoc. His waiting a couple of days was so that they could set up a transition team to transfer responsibilities to the lieutenant governor. Please stick to celebs and leave political comment to those more knowledgeable, OK?
Why the fuck is prostitution illegal in the US? I can understand it is to prevent 15 year old girls and immigrants from being pimped out, but if they had laws like other countries to enforce weekly testing for diseases, and they made severe laws against human trafficking of sex slaves and prostituting young girls, why should it not be legal for a willing and able person?

As a new yorker and someone who voted for this scumbag i'm glad he is leaving his post. I only hope he doesn't get special treatment for it. Resigning is not a plea bargain, but you know that how this is going to unfold. While he was governer he did very little to help New York State. He will certainly not be missing.

Think about it for a second. I would be completely behind him if he was having an affair with another man or a more adventurous woman than his wife. Why a prostitute? There's a reason that it's a prostitute and not an affair. If you are a big politician and you have an affair, the fear is that she's going to blackmail you at some point.
Think about it. If she's a prostitute, there are people who will cut her if she snitches. Am I right? That doesn't even take into account that he is on record busting prostitution rings. This is why I never thought anything was wrong with what Clinton (or NJ Governor McGreevey) did. Even though Clinton's girlfriend was a little young, there wasn't mob money, threats to the woman or frankly illegal (for a lawmaker) activities involved. What on earth was he looking for? Seriously, do you know how many skanky women out there would be willing to do whatever pervy things he could think of? Plenty. The only reason to go to a professional is that somebody would TAKE CARE of her if she stepped out of line. Very wrong. Big time politicians have been getting their pervy needs taken care of privately forever. If you can't get your wife to do it, at least keep it private.
