PEREZ, why don't you first start and tell people not to vaccinate their children. it is not needed. and it is causing autism and other disorders. The amount of mercury in vaccination has tripled since 1971. Don't believe me? look into it yourself. Vaccinations kill and damage people. They also cause tumors. Any one in this day and age who vaccinates their children are just asking for trouble. I didn't vaccinate mine and they are healthy and happy children. DON'T GET BULLIED BY YOUR DOCTOR TO BELIEVE THEY ARE SAFE, THEY ARE NOT. THEYRE IS A LOT OF MONEY BEING MADE BY DOCTORS AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES.

Perez this is a great idea, and I think that your voice can really help.
If you are planning on championing other causes, would you consider Type 1 Diabetes? I have had this disease since I was 5 years old (I'm now 16) that's almost 12 years. Contrary to popular belief it is not a childhood disease, it will be with me until the day I die, unless a cure is found. Also it can not be "cured" or prevented with diet and exercise, it's an autoimmune not a lifestyle disease.
I remember you posting about Halle Berry's supposed Type 1 cure, and I was happy that you showed your readers that she was not telling the truth. I really think you could bring more awareness to this issue.

My Best friends child was diagnosed autistic, I was so with you until you started talking about how it would make the website more credible…sugar your readers are intelligent and we are with you. Please don't trivialize the issue…You also forgot to mention the monetary reward that was given by Our government to the couple to whoms child was Autistic by the vaccinations we HAVE to give our children (hence to get them in school, sports, etc) I have been with you from the start sugar, but when you are speaking about these issues….Be a bit more educated , rather than what the Elite are doing …

My daughter attends a special ed school with many autistic qualities. However I want to address her issue and the one of many reasons for children that suffer from Autism and other mental disorders. My daugther has Fragile X Syndrome. It is a genetic disorder that hibernates for generations and then all of a sudden is activated by too many repeats in the X chromosome which stops a gene from producing a protein needed.
Fragile X has been discovered to be responsible for autism, schizo, bipolar disorders and many more. If we can find a cure for Fragile X then we can find a cure for many other disorders. Check it out everyone. Research Fragile X Syndrome and their organization which is FRAXA.

i think this is really great what your doing. My sister is 29 has one of the worst forms of autism.. She cannot communicate with us… She barely makes eye contact… and when she is frustrated or upset she will act out by ripping clothes or breaking things because she cannot tell us how she feels… and since my parents work she cant live with us during the week at lives at a place called elwyn… and there she behaves badly and often gets hurt my other people with mental disorders.. soo i just think this ia a great idea!! thanks a lot!

Perez this is so wonderful. My nephew/godson has recently been diagnosed with autism and it is a VERY serious matter. Its rediculous how large this epidemic is becoming! Hopefullly you will bring more notice to autisim. And it's really immature that people have to leave comments on this being ass-holes. I'm fifteen and i read this religiously, I don't understand why people read this and have to leave nasty comments. I LOVE YA PEREZ!

I think this is a great idea. Mental illness is still so disregarded & the stigma that is attached with that are inescapable. I think the studies being done now on child medical treatments such as vaccinations & other invasive tests as triggers is the way to figure this out. More kids are sick these days from environmental issues & growing up in poverty which means they have more trauma at an early age. I always believed my bipolar, negative outlook & depression were from childhood medical trauma. The studies are just coming out now to prove this. We need to solve the big problems of poverty & environment before anything will get better. Good for you for doing something positive!

Hi Perez, thanks for spotlighitng Autism. I know those who may not have Autism in their lives might be tired of hearing about it, but it's there, and I think everyone should know a little about it. As mom to an awesome 9 year old boy with Autism, I find there is a lot of ignorance in the world, particularly about Autism. By your doing this, even if people don't donate, at least they might go to the site and learn a little more! Thanks again!

Are you going to make any changes to the site so those of us with pet charities can direct your attention to them? There are millions of wonderful charities out there with strong and worthwhile causes. All it takes for a charity to flourish and serve it's cause is to connect a person with the cause that rings something true within them; you definately have the power to be that conduit!

Autism is an important cause. There's a reason autism has come into the spotlight. It's important, and genuine cases need funding and attention.
In my experience, the medical community is too eager to diagnose autism to children who do not develop in the spectrum of "normal". Like ADD in the 90's autism is becoming the new diagnosis to children who are artistic, eccentric, sensitive different little people. It's sometimes much easier to swallow for a parent to believe their child is diagnosable, therefore treatable. If their child is not behaving outside the realm of normal, they want to medicate them to flow into the mainstream childhood development. I worry this could be an avenue for medicating, artist children, rebels, queer kids, and other anomalies of mainstream culture.
Please take this under consideration. Lots of causes are important. You have a great idea. Really research causes. GOOD LUCK!
