PerezHilton! You are my hero! I completely want to say thank-you about talking about autism just in this short clip. You're an inspiration to others who cannot voice their opinions. Thank you SOO MUCH! I think this is a wonderful idea and I'm 100% behind you. Oh. And P.S. I think you should make

    VOTE PEREZIDENT t-shirts ;) !

Good for you Perez !!! it's nice to balance the dark with light !!!
everyone needs to feel like they are giving back, no matter how
silly it sounds. As you get older you will see how important it is
to help and donate, etc…For the Queens, reading is FUNdamental,
but it can leave you empty sometime, and nothing helps to balance that
out better than helping others who really need it. I'm very happy to see this happen here. Makes me feel less guilty about reading this blog.

The look on your face at the end was so beautiful… I have never posted before, but when you said that you were filled with optimism, it made me so happy. It actually made me vaclempt.

GET THE METRICS DOWN, PEREZ… IT'S THE CONCEPT OF TRACKING THE DONATIONS THAT MAKES YOUR IDEA TRULY GENIUS! Pick your causes and then track the donations of Perez readers, have contests… you DO have a platform and this IS the best way to use it! Way to come into your own power!!!

  7. m says – reply to this

    207

You could do a dollar a day comapign…where you have each reader do a dollar a day to various causes it could be massive the amount of donations generated…considering your volume of people who hit your site. its a little for us but collectively we feel like we were part of this massive difference

FINALLY!!!!! I am so excited to see you using your influence to do real genunine good! I know charity and giving is "hot" at the moment with Oprah's Big Give, etc. But we all really need to give back and be thankful for good health, food, and all of our blessings. I would LOVE to submit a proposal for support to a charity I have started for children with Arthritis. I am only one but I have the will and am trying to make a difference for sick and suffering children in the US. I would be eternally grateful for help! Thank you!!!!!

    Hey Perez!
I am 16 and a volunteer for an amazing international association called the FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE , which unites teens with special needs children (Down Syndrome, Autism etc.) in a relationship that promotes their acceptance in society and teaches them valuable life skills. My friend who has autism has taught me to be more patient, more kind and compassionate. All things our society today so desperately needs … wouldn't you agree?
Here is the link to the site: www.friendshipcircle.com
Visit the site…it really encompasses what u discussed in the video blog. Please dnt ignore!

    216

Perez, what a great IDEA… This is exactly what you need to add to your site to keep it moving forward and stimulating …. and ALSO to give back to society… LOVE IT…
    -
I read and see more and more now all these stories online and TV about Autism — it is just so sad and terrible to see what happens to those dear children… and the very sad thing about it all is, it could all be linked to immunization and the excesses of immunization.
    -
I got connected to this subject, since I have been using zeolite to detox my own body of heavy metals and toxins, and started to see that parents were using it on their autistic children with stunning results.
    -
When I started to read different case studies online with parents using zeolite on their autistic children, I was stunned — and never before that did I realize that it could all be a result of the overload of immunization doctors are giving children, too much — too young for their small bodies to handle.
    -
It is great to see you taking up this very important and serious topic — that could be prevented….

I am so happy that you're doing this Perez. This is such a good, good thing. Way to go. My husband and I have worked with children with autism in the past, and have realized that life is hard anyway, but if you have Autism, things can be so much more complicated and challenging. These kids have so much courage, and strength, they deserve more attention and research.

    Way to go Perez!

    220

I have never posted, but read your blog daily. I am so impressed and glad that you are willing to step outside the box and push your readers to a new level. I will help by donating as much as I can.
In response to tracking the money, perhaps you could couple with the philanthropy you promote for a week and have them use tracking software (which I am sure they do already) that shows where their viewers come from. If they are part in setting up the link, then I believe this could be done quite easily, then you would have your numbers!

    222

Great idea Perez! But a quick note: Jenny McCarthy's son HAD (past tense) autism. It can be curable if caught early enough and the child gets detoxed from the high levels of mercury and other toxins in the body. Each child is different. My best friend took a year "detoxing" her child and he no longer has autism. I've watched her go through and she's a super hero! And yes - it was autism, not anything else.

As far as the astronomically high numbers of new diagnoses of autism in children - look up the direct link with vaccinations - they are the root cause of so many developmental and immunological disorders!!

you know, the Natural Foods Expo is this week/weekend in Anaheim, CA at the convention center. I'm sure there will be an awful lot of diet and supplement info, and educational resources on autism (Wheat Free/Gluten Free diets seem to have an incredible effect on autistic children and adults), plus a whole slew of other incredible causes to delve into. You should check it out! Thousands of people from all over the US come here to taste, and learn, and celebrate all things HEALTHY. I know I'll be there.

Perez, just wanted you to know that this really hit home for me. I am currently awaiting the results of an AU Evaluation for my 4 year old son. I am terrified. I pray every day that my son just needs some help in some areas, but either way I love him more that anything. If only we could find a cure and it's people like yourself and other celebrities that have the voice and influence to do something about it. You really are a sweet guy and I commend you for trying to make the world a better place. Thank you..
    P.S. Leave Miley alone.

I work with autistic preschoolers and it is a fascinating and heart-wrendering disease. I'm actually writing a paper on it for grad school right now. I'm so pleased awareness is heightening for this disorder because it will aide research and hopefully one day we will be able to fully understand why autism occurs in so many (1 in 150 births is the current stat). Thank you so much for bringing awareness to your readers and using your fame towards good! There is also a HBO documentary premiering on March 25th called Autism: The Musical and it's supposed to be amazing…so check it out and God blesss!

Hey i think that what you are doing is great. it is astounding the number of children in this country who are diagnosed with autism each year i have a cousin who has autism, and i babysit two young boys with asburgers syndrom (a lesser form of autism) The saddest thing about the whole thing is that many of these cases if not all are entierly prventable. The immunizations that we are given as children contain heavy metals which contributes to, and causes autism, and many other things. another worthwile cause. the make a wish foundation, they help terminaly ill patients to get one last wish.

It would probably really motivate people to donate.

Re: righinn – Autism is a serious illness, and should get the respect it deserves. Unless you have a child, relative, or close friend with an autistic child it's hard to imagine just how cruel this disease is. The Federal Government should be so ashamed for buying cheap vaccinations and passing them on to our children and grandchildren. When you watch a child go through a regression period its like watching a soul float away and an empty shell take its place. No more hugs, kisses, eye contact, just confusion and the worst heart break ever felt. I urge anybody who can help with this fight to please take the time to do so. It's almost election time-search your heart and pray for a good outcome-our autistic community depends on it.

I have an autistic grandson age 5 and my Mother died after a flu vaccination triggered guillian berrett syndrome. I believe you are dead on track. I just wonder if there is a list of government officials, employees of CDC, and dept of social service employees that are parents or caregivers of autistic children. I would bet they all know something that we don't. I'd like to see the statistics
