You know what bothers me? Its that people don't want things to be about race/gender or whatever. But it ALWAYS comes back to that, doesn't it? We all talk about equality and Martin Luther King Jr. talks about whites and blacks (and all nationalities) sitting down together at the "table of brotherhood" but then you have this "reverend" pitting everything with blacks against whites.
Obama has been going to this church, attending services fr 20 YEARS. This man is his "spiritual advisor", and it makes me question if this hate speech being spoken in a supposed church of GOD has infiltrated his mind and spirit. Not to mention that if a WHITE CANDIDATE went to this church and the "reverend" was talking about BLACK PEOPLE being the enemy, this would be a very different story, wouldn't it?
I'm not voting for Obama due to the fact that he has virtually no real experience. He talks big but how is he going to deliver? I would vote for Hilary over him any day. I don't like any of the candidates for president but if Obama gets into office, this country deserves whatever it gets.

The thing is, Obama has said that in his early 20's he tried out various churches until he found one that really spoke to him and held his beliefs. In addition he has said the Rev. Wright has been his spiritual leader to the point that the title of his second book comes from one of his sermons. You don't go to your uncle to lead you spiritually. You don't name a book after something your uncle said unless you truly admire him. As Obama likes to say about Hillary….you can not associate yourself with someone and take credit for the good work they may have done and then distance yourself from all the the bad things bc it is not convenient for you. Rev. Wright's sermons are sexist, racist and troubling. I don't care what he says, there is no way anyone who does not think that way would sit in that church for 20 years avidly listening to that crap, and there is definitely no way they would go to the lengths of naming a book after his work unless they admired him. If I listened to someone like that I would get up and walk out the first time they said something that aweful, there is no way I would sit there every week over 20 years. And there is no way that if you did sit there in that environment every week for 20 years that those beliefs would not rub off on you even just a bit.

Actually, you're the stupid one. Initially, Hillary had 57% of the African-American vote and early polls suggested that this trend would continue. However, as Hillary's campaign became more and more divisive and racially charged, her support rapidly diminished among black voters. Even self-described Clintonistas started to stray.
In response to this, she began to market herself as the "latino candidate" in order to aggregate enough votes to secure the nomination. Hillary's principal interest is in the numbers, not in the issues that affect latino voters. That's collateral damage. If Bill Richardson had been the front runner, the attacks would be just as venomous and just as racially charged. The issue is not about "black and white", it is about blind ambition and doing whatever it takes to win. The Clintons have eased themselves into the roles of MacBeth and Lady MacBeth.
As for Barack Obama's spiritual advisor, his comments are dated. He gave this sermon months ago and I imagine that this has surfaced due to the Ferraro fiasco. Some people should have been born mute. Ferraro and Wright are included in this category.
what's really frightening about Obama are his supporters that view this election as a "payback" for whitey. aren't presidents supposed to represent everyone? his close alignment with Black separatism and other racist organizations is truly troubling.

Still underreported, is the fact that Hillary will not release her tax returns. This means that there is so much dirt in there to hide; otherwise she would have released them and not risked this political fallout. Just the tax returns alone may sink her in any general election. This is one more reason why Hillary is unelectable; she has more scandals waiting to happen.

Most people can relate to what the Reverand is saying…… white, black,green, purple. He speaks to the oppression and descrimination and abuse that occurs when a small rich powerful minority of whites abuses power.
Too much power in anyones hands is dangerous. Anyone can listen to the Rev. and know or have experienced what it is like to be bullied. It is not only a black issue and many stand behind what he says for reasons that are not only race related. His speech is inspirational. America should be proud.

I can't even believe that people are comparing this racist hateful man's weekly sermons to the comments made by Geraldine Ferraro. First of all, Wright is Obama's longtime friend, mentor, and spiritual advisor. Obama has attended his church for 20 years now, this church which Obama says "speaks to him" spiritually. Ferraro was simply one of many Hillary supporters who was working as a fundraiser. The relationships are completely and totally different. While a very strong, logical case can be made to the effect that Obama shares Wright's views, the same can in no way be said of Hillary and Ferraro. Furthermore, Hillary publically stated she did not agree with the statements made by Ferraro. Obama, however, has not only been an active member of Wright's congregation for two decades, he has not in any way indicated he disagrees with this "sermon". Ferraro's comments were also much more mild than Wright's and completely devoid of the anger so obvious in Wright's speech. Not to mention she made one statement one time and this guy has been spreading hate and racism from his pulpit for 36 years, 20 of which Obama has been present for.
