Not On Our Watch, a charity co-founded by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle, has donated $500,000 to the United Nations World Food Program.
The money will help the U.N.'s food aid agency to prevent hunger in the troubled Darfur region of Sudan.
In a statement, Clooney said, "Without immediate additional funding, humanitarian aid in the region will be crippled."
Gorge George has become a leading celebrity advocate for action against the genocide in the Sudan after filming a documentary about the crisis last year.
Keep it up!

Re: Grace E. – Real nice rhetoric from someone who is virtually illiterate! Not to mention our country has NEVER asked or received a dime you. Once again asshole, if your moron government wasn't spending 12 billion a day on death they might be able to take care of your citizens! Talk about "funny" the arrogance will be YOUR bitter harvest-SOON!
Re: Diana – Rhetoric? haha
You think a guy with half a brain could find someone decent. Have you seen the pics of his girlfriend online? The ones showing her shaved crotch? She is nasty! HELLO GEORGE DO YOU KNOW WHAT CLASS IS?
all # of em' GAY!
there is something really sinister about a celebrity whether an acotr/singer or whatever - starts acting with a god-like complex. im all for altruism but sometimes, these actors live life recklessly not realizing they have that "philantrophy" side of them; or they have made philantrophy a business and a way to be acknowledged as a savior thus losing the shole spirit of helping - which is helping for helping sake and not to bolster one's cred or career. honestly, im sure there are "celebrity-ambassadors" out there who do put the ass in ambassadors and are frolicking celebrating how they have turned to be gods among mortals. Really disturbing.
I wish they truly hit the reasons for poverty instead of traipsing the issue and milking the media for mileage. Go for the jugular: fight for abolishment of unfair trade practice imposed by 1st worlds on and 3rd worlds; go for equalities, fight to hold some 1st world nation's hold on 3rd world economies keeping the 3rd worlds poor while continually enriching the already rich nations.
Actually Don Cheadle is the leading advocate for whats going on in Sudan….but i guess clooney looks better huh?
i think its admiralble that all these rich people are helping out these countries that have sick and poor. its interesting because i havent seen any news stories indicating that the U.S. has wiped out hunger and poverty. these rich bozos dont have a clue. buy a foriegn car the money leaves the u.s. economy. donate to an overseas tax shelter and guess what folks…. that leaves our country too. doesnt anyone watch the news ? we are fucked if this doesnt turn around. im sure they could find tax write offs by helping in OUR country.
He is an evil idiot misrepresenting the facts of who is to blame and covering for the american bankers who have been making enormous amounts of cash while he and his sick fucking friends debate the definition of genocide. Sudan was developed by american banking interests any years prior to the usa kicking open the economic door to China, $91 billion dollars in blue chip investment from CALPERS, harvard and buffet. clooney is a sociopathic liar riding the evil to some minor ego boost that is totally derived from his own delusional twist on the reality and the facts.
